I selected this Ramada because it was the only approved hotel for University of Wisconsin business travel in the region. I've since asked the university to reconsider permitting people to stay here.||||It has a wonderful location, BUT there are significant issues including: (1) cleanliness, (2) production of itemized receipts, and (3) customer responsiveness.||||Apparently the bites I felt on my legs in the hotel room were from a microscopic parasite, scabies. My whole family has been treated with an insecticide this week to control them. Washing floors, linens and common housekeeping services would normally manage the pests, but from the condition of my room, those don't appear to happen. Musty smells, ants all over the bathroom on the 4th floor, etc. are not encouraging signs.||||Obtaining a folio with itemized expenses has also been inexplicably hard. Wyndham provided me the contact info for the hotel, but the property has not responded to multiple requests in English and Spanish for the receipt over the course of a week.||||Overall, among the worst hotel...
Read moreWe are visiting from Australia and riding bicycles across Central America- we wanted a quiet and comfortable hotel. We read some mixed reviews about this hotel but had a 5 star experience. The hotel has a perfect location right on the water and is close to bars and restaurants. Our room was clean and the beds very comfortable, great air con. The shower pressure was not strong but acceptable and plenty of hot water. The room was very quiet. The pool was clean and nice. We had amazing service from Gamaliel at the front desk. He was friendly, spoke great English and very helpful. He arranged safe storage for our bikes inside the hotel, gave us advice about our planned trip to Tikal- arranged for a car to meet us at the hotel as we wanted a self guided tour. We needed help with booking our next nights accommodation and he phone the hotel and booked us in. Some of the best hotel service I’ve ever received. It was a great stay for 2 nights and the room maids cleaned and serviced the room really well for the second night. I highly...
Read moreVery nice hotel. Great location, multiple restaurants and bars to walk to, super convenient as it is right by the bridge to walk to mall and even a Burger King. We utilized Tuk Tuks for transportation to Megaplaza mall (very cheap and only 8 min drive away. The hotel does not provide airport transportation but a taxi was only $10 USD a person. Our king size room was very spacious, comfortable bed with thin down comforter, lockable safe, English TV, 2 water bottles a day in room, dark and quite at night. The bathroom has everything you need, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. They changed towels and cleaned room every day. We had a shared small balcony and they even got us 2 chairs for balcony. The restaurant/bar was closed due to COVID. They have an indoor and outdoor pool as well as gated parking. Everyone at the hotel speaks English. They were able to set us up with super reasonable Tikal tour and boat tour around the island with pick up in front of hotel. We would definitely stay there again and...
