Belize Go Travel Agency — Local services in Flores

(Leaving this review for never ending travels which is located exactly here in Flores, but for some reason is called Belize go?).

Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam. Ceasar (Never ending travels) cancelled our prebooked Acatenango hike tour last minute (he cancelled our acatenango tour at 10pm the night before we were meant to do it, apparently because his contact wasn’t replying, but I now doubt it was ever really planned) and not returning money after weeks and weeks of promising to refund on PayPal. He also promised to refund us for a bus ticket we didn’t use and still waiting for it. It’s been a month now and still no refund, and he keeps saying ‘as soon as possible’ on WhatsApp. I reckon it’s just lies.

I think he also changes the name of his company regularly, as on Google maps the location is called ‘Belize Go’ but we were there recently and it’s not decorated with his company name ‘Never Ending Travels’…. Suspicious

He sells packages of shuttles around Guatemala. Some of them were fine but some were had major issues with the drivers saying they had never heard of Never Ending Travels agency and our names weren’t on their lists. So do your research before choosing a travel agent...

I don't know the name of the agent but he booked our two tickets overnight to "San Pedro La Laguna" and then from there to Antigua. Alarm bells should have been going off when the first bus didn't actually take us to our destination, but to Panajachel. I checked back in the WhatsApp messages only to find he'd avoided actually saying our destination, simply referring to it as "the lake," making me think it may have been my error despite it being verbally mentioned several times. We book tickets from San Pedro La Laguna to Antigua a week in advance. Despite the agent saying it was all booked, he only asked for our full names the night before. When we arrived in the morning the tour company tried to give us a pillow over the motor as a seat despite the rest of the customers (who paid less) getting a regular full seat. We refused and called the agent to resolve the issue. We found out he'd only booked the seats the night before hence the unusable seats and then blocked us 🤡 We were forced to argue with th company for an hour to get the refund and wait a while day for a bus with...

I had the pleasure of taking three tours with Emerson and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. He was very helpful and professional throughout all of them. I had some trouble finding a Crater Azul tour for the day I wanted, but luckily I ran into Emerson around his office and he managed to set me up with the tour last minute. He also arranged a one day trip to Tikal and Yaxha which was amazing. I was able to go to Tikal in the morning and then was picked up by the tour bus in El Rimate for the Yaxha tour.
