Cattedrale dell'Immagine — Attraction in Florence

I visited the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition in St. Stefano. If you know and love Leonardos paintings this beautiful multi-media experience is really a must-see to explore new aspects of his paintings, in a unique setting of architecture + music. The whole interior of the (empty) church building is used as a projection surface, really drawing you into the presentation, which runs in loop-mode. If you have got some time, keep watching! There are so many wonderful details/ideas in this 360-degree show that it will keep you thinking about the paintings for a long time. Many thanx to the creators for this unforgettable experience!

In addition to the main show there are also 2 small rooms in the exhibition dedicated to Leonardo's drawings, including a few working-models of some of his inventions. I was positively surprised by the (English translation of) explanations of the mechanics underlying the machines, making these rather technical matters also accessible to non-specialists.

For an extra charge I could also enjoy a VR experience of 3 of Leonardo's machines with Oculus/Meta VR glasses in an extra room. My recommendation on that particular aspect of the exhibition is a mixed one: If you know/own VR glasses, you will see nothing new/extraordinary. However, maybe if you ask yourself what this VR/Metaverse hype is all about, this could be first step? The exhibition is nice, what enhances it is more in my opinion the space inside the church which boosts the overall effect. So it is more the overall staging and digital effects than the content itself. A rather concerning point that I feel compelled to mention pertains to the staff and visitors safety and well being. There is a special VR viewing room downstairs for VIP tickets holders. The space was empty when we visited, my friend went down for the VR viewing and was harassed by the staff guy who approached her inappropriately and tried to touch her. She had to stop him and rush out the VR room in quite an uncomfortable state. When we pointed this out at the desk, it was not properly handled and rather taken quite lightly and sarcastically. That is however a serious matter of safety and security. A woman feeling insecure and being harassed by a staff member inside an art exhibition venue and a church above all, is nothing to be taken lightly. There should be proper screening of staff members hired and there should be qualified management available on site to control and handle such...

FIRENZE la Sua Bellezza e l'omaggio a Salvador Dalì

E'sempre così emozionante e romantico camminare lungo ponte vecchio tra le luci dei negozi e le vetrine delle gioiellerie storiche , siamo vicini a Natale e Firenze è tutta già allestita . in questo periodo è possibile recarsi nella chiesa sconsacrata di Santo Stefano al Ponte che è uno dei capolavori sconosciuti del patrimonio architettonico fiorentino dove per fortuna, vengono spesso allestite mostre e gallerie d'arte aperte al pubblico .

Qui , da Settembre è possibile visitare una bellissima mostra su Salvador Dalì , una mostra immersiva che si colloca al confine tra immaginazione e realtà proprio come era lui! (E non potevamo farcela scappare !)

Folle , visionario , paranoico , surreale e tratti angosciante , le opere d'arte di Salvador Dalì riempiono gli occhi in uno spazio immersivo, offre al suo pubblico la possibilità di entrare dentro l’arte del padre del surrealismo.

Un percorso non solo tra le opere del pittore ma proprio un'immersione nella sua visione del mondo , grazie a queste proiezioni in movimento si ha come l'impressione di entrare per un istante nella visione di Dalì rispetto al tempo , allo spazio alle emozioni e all'amore.

Proprio come negli orologi di Dalì anche qui la percezione umana del tempo cambia a seconda dell’umore e delle azioni. Firenze come scenario esterno è ineccepibile e di bellezza straordinaria , se si ha la voglia di vedere qualcosa di particolare sicuramente questa può essere un'ottima idea.

Come scrisse Dalì : Che cos’è il cielo? Dove si trova? Il cielo non si trova né sopra né sotto, né a destra né a sinistra; il cielo è esattamente nel centro del petto dell’uomo che ha fede. Immergetevi in questo cielo di dipinti , ve lo consigliamo .
