I sadly got food poisoning here and was sick for 1.5 days straight (my wonderful hotel Panto can attest) after eating Eno's 3 fish crudo plate. After crostini of lardo, cheese & honey i was served salmon, gamberi rossi and swordfish (spada) crudo plate. Unfortunately, all 3 completely unseasoned, so so bland as to make them nigh inedible, especially spada which i left hardly touched as the result. If I wasn't to season with garnish lemon, olive oil and salt asked for, it's just raw fish roughly chopped. Salmon looked whitish colour with funny consistency, as if it was over-marinated with lemon, yet it wasn't seasoned or marinated at all, and clearly source of my poisoning, sadly. See photo. I should have known! Service rather non-existent on the day, bordering on morose. Toilet dirty with no toilet paper which had to be asked for, with rude counter guy reacting to the request as if though he was asked to sacrifice his firstborn, not offer basic hygienic amenities. Such a disappointment given the reviews rating and how it looks, as it is - 1.5 days spent at a hotel vomiting instead of exploring...

The charcuterie plate was a perfect snapshot of Italy on a wooden board—paper-thin slices of prosciutto that melted on the tongue, spicy salami with just the right kick, and wedges of pecorino and parmigiano that balanced richness with a salty tang. Each bite felt like a little journey through the regions of Italy, especially when paired with the crusty bread and olives that rounded out the plate.

The wine was the star that tied everything together. A bold yet smooth red, with hints of cherry and spice, it elevated the meats and cheeses and lingered with a warmth that made the experience feel indulgent but effortless.

Simple, authentic, and unforgettable—this was Italy at its best: no rush, no pretense, just good food, good wine, and the joy of...
