the worst experience in Palermo :-(
Service was horrible. After ordering they absolutely neglected us. 4 other tables after us ate and paid before we got our dishes (1 hour 10 min). About 30 min after ordering I asked if we can get some bread like all the tables around and how is it looking with our dishes? ---- brought bread but no info about food. Later I ask again where my food is and the waitress (teenage daughter of the chef) walks back to the kitchen and we see and hear her asking where is our food. Only then they start working on it and within 10 minutes we receive our food. Not terrible but nothing to enjoy - when in Palermo you can find better quality and value food every few meters, although the place was not overpriced!
When paying I see the waitress again and speak to her about the waiting time. She looks at me and says: "I don't understand what is your problem" I explain again we waited over an hour and she says "sorry some dishes take longer" :-D (we had a pizza and some fried seafood) !!! Others had various dishes and she clearly forgot about us.
She just leaves me and asks her dad (chef of the place) to come out, who visibly doesn't care about the situation and after few minutes explaining just excuses himself and goes back to the kitchen......
I decided to speak to the staff because my experience was horrendous, let them know and provide feedback. Instead of even just a simple apology they tell me that there is no problem and different dishes take different amount of time to prepare .....👌 Very dismissive, very poor customer experience
Servis velmi špatný, prostředí na ulici špatné (projíždějící motorky vedle stolu při šířce ulice 2m) vnitřní prostor příjemný.
Jídlo velmi podprůměrné - v Palermu...
Read moreI would give this charming hole in the wall a 4.5. We were staying across the street but never noticed the signage on the sidewalk. After walking to 2 other places (one revamp’d the menu so no longer appealing to us and the other was closed) so we headed back to our hotel, frustrated but came upon the menu. We likrd the choices. There was already a queue before the restaurant opened. We spoke to the loveliest couple from Brazil that told us they ate here the night before and recommended the sea bream. We were seated despite not having a rezzie. A table of 15 danish students were seated next to us but they were exceptionally well behaved despite ordering 8 carafes of wine! 😂 Atmosphere- rustic and charming Service- attentive and friendly. There is only one waitress who seats people , so pls be patient. Food- delicious in a home cooked, honest, no fuss way. Your food might come out in different order, some might have to eat sooner, but relax- you are on vacay or enjoying a dining experience! We had fettuccine arrabiata, sphaghetti Napoli, steak with mushrooms (keep in mind this is a thin steak) sea bream (warning- this comes as a whole fish!) and calamari frito- light and delicious. We shared a carafe of house wine and a aperol spritz. The pasta portions were generous. The students all ordered pizza and they looked large and tasty. It was a lovely meal and only wish we had found this place sooner! Bravo to this family...
Read moreUnfortunately we cannot understand the good reviews. We live in Germany and are used to fairly good Italian restaurants, this Primi Piatti was disappointing in many ways. We came for lunch and expected reasonable prices for simple but good food, in Cefalù we have been paying around 80€ with wine for two, so we wanted to try something more budget friendly. We arrived at 12:00 and the floor was still being cleaned, one family was already seated. That being said, we were probably the next people to order food. The candle holder and the glasses at the table were dirty, we asked the glasses to be changed and this happened right away. Not a good idea to order bottled wine because it’s a cheap 3€ bottle that will cost you 13€. I’d rather to pay more and get a bit of a better wine. Some people who arrived after us started eating their pasta. 45minutes after ordering I received my pasta, it tasted ok. My husband only got his pasta 1 hour after ordering, good that we were not in a tight schedule, it also did not taste that good. Maybe this place was good in the past, but from what we experienced today it feels totally not...
