We had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Sunset Line in Relax 1 during our trip to Riomaggiore for the July 2025 Holy Jubilee, and it truly exceeded every expectation. Without a doubt, this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Davide, his lovely wife, and their front desk staff, Sara, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Every little detail had been so thoughtfully considered to ensure guests feel pampered, welcomed, and completely relaxed. The room itself was beautifully designed elegant, modern, and immaculately clean. Perks included a high-end private jacuzzi tub, separate rainfall shower, Dyson Airwrap and hair dryer, Nespresso machine, JBL portable speaker, and luxurious amber-scented beauty products. They even provided thoughtful extras like a toothbrush kit, shaving set, and sewing kit and first aid kit, exfoliating loofa, bath salts, hair brush, comb things you don’t realize you’ll need until you do. We were greeted with a complimentary welcome tray of local wine, artisanal meats and cheeses, and fresh focaccia bread, such a special touch after a day of travel. Each day we were provided complimentary beer, juices and water. The highlight, however, was our private terrace balcony overlooking the colorful town and sparkling Tyrrhenian sea. Complete with two sun loungers and an outdoor shower, it was the perfect spot to soak in the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets Riomaggiore is famous for. Every morning, we were served a beautifully arranged picnic-style breakfast on our terrace, featuring fresh bullseye eggs, warm croissants, a selection of jams and honey, local meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereal, focaccia pizza, fresh-squeezed juice, and cappuccino. It was the perfect start to each day. The accommodation is tucked away at the top of Riomaggiore, beside a historic castle, offering a peaceful retreat just a short walk from the bustling town center filled with authentic restaurants, quaint shops, and markets. I honestly didn’t want to leave. This stay was unforgettable and so thoughtfully curated it felt like a little piece of heaven on earth. I would return in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Cinque Terre. 10/10 experience. Grazie...
Read moreOur stay at The Sunset Line was nothing short of magical. Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, this beautiful apartment exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—extremely accommodating, attentive, and always available to help with anything we needed.
The apartment itself was stunning: spacious and thoughtfully designed with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower), and a gorgeous outdoor patio that looked exactly like the pictures—if not better in person. The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every moment on the terrace feel like a dream.
We were welcomed with snacks, chocolates, and wine, and throughout our stay, the staff kept the room immaculately clean and the fridge fully stocked. They even helped us reserve massages and breakfast on request, adding to the luxurious experience.
The location was ideal—just a short 5 to 10-minute walk to the heart of Riomaggiore. The town itself is charming and vibrant, with amazing restaurants, cozy shops, and stunning vistas around every corner.

Read moreThis is the best hotel experience I've ever had in my entire life. My wife and I stayed in the Garden Room. The room may be on the smaller side, but it is efficiently spaced out with the highest quality of furniture and features. The shower is amazingly nice. The bed is big and comfortable. We were greeted with food and drinks. The fridge was stocked full of water, juices, beer, and wine - all for free and included in our stay. It was restocked daily! The view is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. There is a private hot tub right outside the room that we used every night to relax. Everything is accessible from the Sunset Line. You can walk to nearby staircases and elevators to get down to the train station in about 10 minutes so you can explore more of Cinque Terre. Riomaggiore, though, was our favorite, with great restaurants and even a cool hiking path to take you to Manarola.
Also, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting their breakfast. It is a huge breakfast but includes so much good food. It can act as a breakfast/lunch and get you going until the afternoon for snack or even until dinner. It is delicious.
The service is spectacular. Just, seriously, an...
