Namba Station — Attraction in Osaka

To board express train to airport, make sure you leave enough time to navigate to the entrance of train station. Especially if you are taking the 6 am train, best to recce the place the day before. So that you won't panic and miss the train. Place is big so u may go to wrong entrance. Google directs you to a point where you have no clue where to board the train. Especially u see Namba Parks and panic. The other thing is, walking with luggage and walking without luggage is vastly different. So leave double to triple the time shown on Google map.

Google directs me to Namba Parks but actually place to board train is close or next to it.

Tip: book train carriage # 4 is best. #1 means right in front which means u need to go all the way to the front. I pre-booked my tickets online and used QR code on nankai website to enter. Need to refresh browser or go to top menu if...

An important place for people travel from Kansai airport to Namba (vice versa), and from Namba to Koyasan, Sakai or Wkayama. It's interconnected with Nankai's shopping centers, which might take you some time to access to the "platform." Btw, though both in the area of Namba, it's still 1km away from the Namba of Osaka metro (depending on the line you take but no shorter than 500m). The other thing to notice is that they only sell same-day basic fare ticket no matter OTC or on machine...while you can book "express ticket" before hand, it's not possible to pre-order the basic fare ticket (in Japan, the basic fare ticket is always needed when boarding but can be paid using "IC card"). Let me preface this with a note that we had been thru Japan for 7 days before coming to Osaka, other large and small cities. Never had an issue with trains or stations. Today we could not even find the station. Followed signs, asked for directions. Gave up and took a taxi to our destination. Issue is that this station is hidden in with a huge multi-story shopping complex and signs lead you all thru the shopping center thru different floors. Yes we realize there is an above ground station and the subway, both called Namba. We found the above ground station and that is where we got directions to go to the subway. Then followed signage. So maybe arriving here is fine but couldn’t find this station to travel...
