Everytime I come to Japan, I would eat at Kichiri. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Japan. I like the vibe and the food. My favorite dish ever since my first visit is the Guacamole dish. The server would come to our table and let us choose an avocado and they would make the guac right next to you. You get to choose how much onions or peppers go in the guac so it’s right for you. I always like to hear other tables enjoying themselves as well. I say hear because the tables are set in a way that every party getd their own space, blocks the view of others so it feels quite private. Everyone laughing and talking loudly, so relaxed and free, which is very unlike most restaurants in Japan. This time in the Kichiri in Namba, I got to know Maya, one of the servers. The place was accommodating and accepted me despite not having a reservation. They have traditional low sitting tables and shoes off which takes some getting used to but worth the experience. Mind your head getting into your table. Places like this want me to come back to...

We were greeted really nicely and even got a small present message in German. It was so kind.
The seating is really nice, as you have your own private space. The music is really relaxing and even if many people are here, it's not too noisy.
Our waitress Mako was very kind and gave us good explanations on the food. She even brought us hot tea as she saw that we ordered desserts. We really felt the japanese way of omotenashi.
The food was so yummy and I can really recommend it. The prices are not expensive and not cheap. You ll get good quality here.
