NEWoMan Shinjuku — Attraction in Tokyo

Brand name shops, worldwide brands, and domestic brands. There's a wide range of shops from bath & body, food, coffee, clothing, skincare, and beauty. And even Parisian chocolate and bakery! Very nice selection. The first two floors tend to always be quite crowded and in my personal opinion the air is very stuffy and smells of heavy perfume, but if you go up, there are other floors with seating areas by each elevator and a lot more peaceful. There's also a breastfeeding room/changing room and a nice family/handicap bathroom. I would have given Newoman 4 stars, but I think the architecture somewhat failed at making the best of the space. Although it's quite nice, the floor layout is very confusing and there is no direct elevator up to the top (7th) floor, it's somewhat like a maze and it's best to ask the information desk on the second floor (if you can find it). There are some places you can only enter and exit one way, which I think is major design flaw and super limiting to it's potential to be more 'user-friendly.' If you ever take the airport limousine bus from Shinjuku, there's a direct entrance from there which would be convenient if it weren't so hard to find! If any tourists who want to do the tax-refund here at NEWoMan Shinjuku. Please avoid the man with the eyeglasses who is at the tax-refund counter, if you don't want to face a person who doesn't have a service mind. Two days ago i bought a shirt with my debit card. And I have known some of the processing of the tax refund that it has to be the credit card that could get the money back. So, I handed him a credit card. He returned the card back to me and just said "CANNOT" and I tried to tell him. He didn't reply me anything or even explain that why i cannot use the credit card that i gave him. Later, he went ahead the process with the CASH option without any asking. I felt a bit shock at that moment because I have done the tax refund all around the world. I could say I CAN use the credit card for rebate and there is no problem at all. He should try to explain to the customers more properly even in whatever languages in the world. The select shop has a lot of great candles and perfumes! Many of them are either scandanavian or French brands. Also I saw some cool hand cream brands in newoman. There were also some clothing shops that seemed really nice, I will definitely go back and check them out soon!The staffs in the select shop are really helpful and nice, they answered basically any questions I had about their products. Also the tax free counter is very efficient, I got my money back with in 5 minutes. I also had matcha tapioca at 1st floor I think, the drink was ok but the portion was a bit small considering the price. I probably will not go there next time.
