バリラックス ザ ガーデン 新宿 （BALILax THE GARDEN） — Restaurant in Tokyo

The atmosphere is great but I’m very unhappy and unimpressed why they put Indonesian food in there when it’s a Thai restaurant. I ordered Nasi Goreng Special, Sate Kambing, Babi Guling, and Java tea.

Nasi Goreng - it’s not even the taste. The little tsukemono is not enough vinegar and sugar. The rice itself is just tomato sauce and there is nothing else to add. The egg, disgusting, usually how you cook Indonesian egg is must be crispy on the outside, I think they steamed this and it’s worst than I thought. The salad on the side is not that great, why do they put dressing? Just keep it simple with no dressing and keep with lettuce and cucumber side. That’s it.

Babi Guling - it’s not even just the plate and the looking, the whole thing looks French instead and it’s unfortunate. The taste is also different so it’s not great.

Sate Kambing - it’s not even the same, less smell and they added onion on the top which looks more bad. I wish they added the spicy peanut sauce on the top. It would be more liking.

Java tea - shocking, it’s just an ordinary tea and not even the home taste.

I think all in all it’s not satisfying since they do not have respected taste that I want as it doesn’t remind me of home. Indonesian taste is very specific so I was very disappointed of how they came. Not recommended for those people who miss the taste...

Worst place. Slow serving. Trashy food. Let me tell you how your experience here would be like. First you are impressed with the nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Sit down and order food excited. It never comes. After a while your food comes finally and you are impressed again with how small your food is(You literally have to share one plate for one person with your mate.) Also it disappoints you with the cheap taste. I think they just microwaved frozen food. Anyway you go through the hard time and go to the cashier. And find too expensive number written in your receipt. You pay for it with anger and go directly home to write a insulting...

Reserved almost 10 days in advance for celebrating a birthday, lured by the ambience. But unfortunately, got a seat outside without any air conditioning during the hot summer , which is not mentioned while reserving. Even upon a call for arranging birthday platter, nothing was mentioned about the seating..the inside ambience is actually quite nice and it was so disappointing that we had to sit outside. Food was subpar when compared to many Balinese restaurants. Drinks were nice though. And, the staff were also not so polite and...
