New Name: Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku We loved our stay here! Location - 5 stars Conveniently surrounded by three (3) different konbinis. This gives us variations on items being sold. McDonalds and different affordable restaurants are within walking distance. Quite a walk going to the center of Shinjuku, but manageable. You can take a stroll towards the Samurai Museum, Starbucks and the Godzilla head. And come across various restaurants, stores and sights. Not to mention, there's a train station just a few steps away the inn. Staff - 5 stars They can communicate in English! The front desk staff were able to assist us with all our queries on directions, attractions, transportations, etc. They always have the warmest smiles when we arrive, very patient and accommodating. Food ( Royal Host) - 5 stars The adjacent restaurant where decent breakfast is being served has really warm staff as well. We ate here for lunch on Christmas Day. And the coupon for breakfast, if not availed, may be used for a different meal period. The young lady who served our table was very patient. We had to discuss regarding the coupon. Despite her inability to speak English, she didn't give up on me or avoided me. In the end, we were able to get our messages across each other. So wonderful experience. And of course, the meal tasted really really good! We were happy with our Christmas lunch. Amenities/Facilities - 4 stars As expected from an inn, the room size was a bit tight. The toiletries weren't in good quality but these can be looked over. One thing I loved most and found practical is the pajama set they provide. Next time we stay here, no need to bring personal sleepwear because their pajama set is so comfortable! There's a laundry room where the microwave is also located. This made our stay practical when we would just get food from the konbini on the evenings were too tired to go out and eat. Cleanliness - 5 stars Very practical cleaning services and done wonderfully. I feel awful for not being able to remember the names of the remarkable staff of the inn.

We really enjoyed staying here! The best thing about this hotel is the people working there! Incredible service! Not only from the front desk but also the cleaners! Rooms are the standard size for Japan but could hold 2 medium suitcases under the desk and two large suitcases on the sides of the room. So, although the room is "small" is good enough for two weeks' stay! The bathroom was good, and the shower is powerful! Loved it! Breakfast is really good if you like a variety of Japanese foods (fish, rice, miso, natto - savoury foods). It's not worth the price if you only go for the "Mediterranean breakfast" of croissants and coffee or bowl of cereal. Be adventurous, you will get more energy out of the japanese breakfast! The only negative I would say is the laundry section. There are only two washing machines and two dryers for the whole hotel. But there's a laundry place just 5 min walk which has amazing washing machine and drier all in one (clothes were washed and dried in less than 2h! - secured with cctv you can leave the clothes there in the washing machine and explore the area) my suggestion to the hotel is to get two to three of those awesome dual washing/drying. It will make things quicker for people, and we won't have to wait while clothes are still wet for a drier to become avaliable (people increase the timer or just forget about it leaving people with wet washed clothes waiting).

Hotel Review: The hotel is exceptionally clean and provides all the necessary amenities, such as vending machines and washing machines. The room size is typically small, which is common in Japan. The staff is extremely helpful and responsive to any needs or requests. Moreover, the hotel offers a fantastic view, with some rooms even providing a glimpse of Tokyo Skytree. It enjoys a convenient location near a subway station and a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores (Conbinis) in the vicinity, offering a wide range of dining options. On the downside, there is limited storage space in the room, making it challenging to place personal belongings. Additionally, the pillows provided are quite firm, which may not suit everyone's preference.

Location is super great literally next to Higashi Shinjuku station. Its not the main station as you still need to walk around 20mins ish to go to main Shinjuku area. Room is small but good enough for Tokyo/ standard. Good amenities provided, you can ask for extra towel/ pillow which is very convenient. They provide variety of skincare, cleansing oil etc downstair. You can even borrow a nail clipper For the price i am paying its really good value. You can store your luggage pre check in or after check out which is v convenient Theres a coin laundry which was very helpful and easy to use Room was warm enough during the winter Overall enjoyed my stay. Will be staying in sotetsu chain again. Good value for money

Great value hotel in Tokyo. Great location, very closed to Higashi Shinjuku station, 10min walk to Sanchome shinjuku station. However quiet neighborhood, so we can enjoy privacy and rest properly. Small room, just like almost hotels in Tokyo, however is full equipped with everything we need and super clean. Amanities provided near elevator. Friendly and helpfull staff, although most of them spoke English very basic.
