Tokyoaburagumi Sohonten Higashishinjukugumi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Lined up outside and was called in to buy the ticket first and to wait outside again. When I went outside there were newcomers on line and they were told to go in and buy the tickets. When they came out the staff told me to move to the back of the line for the newcomers to be in front of me. I was a bit confused so I confronted the staff (an older lady mid sized had an accent when speaking Japanese) she was very rude and told me I was wrong and the newcomers were in front of me. Then when I entered the shop they realize I had already gotten the tickets before the newcomers did. They were not apologetic at all and just showed me to my seat. The food was okay but the service was one of the worst I have experienced in Japan. Being told I’m wrong when I was right and then not receiving any apology when they realize I was right. I’ve been to this shop before and the staff before were friendly. They need to train the new staffs or their service rating is going to go down the drain. That gives a one...

We had a very good experience here. I don't know what a lot of people are complaining about. We walked in (not speaking japanese other than saying arigatou gozaimasu over and over again), they greeted us, we ordered and waited outside very shortly to be seated. The food was really good, creamy and tasty and the servers were very helpful. ALTHOUGH 90% of the customers walking in and out were not even acknowledging the servers and not greeting or thanking the staff (in any languages). We went there at night, it's almost near 9 pm. Luckily, they still open and served nice food. They had this machine to order the food, however, it would be helpful if the staff could help us decided the food. After a while we stand right in front the machine, finally an old guy from the resto came to us, and give some information necessary.
