I came here because I was staying 2 blocks away and watched a Mark Wiens video where he highlighted this place as a local diner frequented by locals. I arrived on a Wednesday morning around 6:15 am and the place had about 5-6 other customers, all locals. The food gives you a good cross section of what the locals eat for breakfast. We tried some mackerel, dumplings, roast beef with noodles, tofu, squash, miso soup, and a bowl of rice. Each item was ¥150-300 (US $1-2). Expect to pay ¥1200 (USD $8) for a filling breakfast. We noticed too late, but microwave was available if you wanted to heat...

After that, you walk to the center to get rice and soup. And then go the left hand side of the restaurant to pay the money. They accept cash and card and can provide the receipt as well. If you don’t want to get hungry in morning, just come...
