「千代田区：特別史跡江戸城跡制札」 2024年5月に訪問しました。こういう説明看板が好きで積極的に読んでいます。看板によると「江戸城」は長禄元年(1457年)に「太田道灌」によって築造されましたが、天正18年(1590年)に「北条氏」が滅亡し、「徳川家康」が居城をここに定めたとのこと。

それ以来、「徳川家康」、「徳川秀忠」、「徳川家光」の三代にわたって「西の丸」、「北の丸」の増設や外郭の整備が行われ江戸城の総構が完成します。

「江戸城跡」は、300年近くにわたる将軍の居所として、また政治の中心としての史的価値が極めて大きく、その規模はわが国随一のものであることから、昭和38年(1963年)5月30日に文化財保護法による「特別史跡」に...

和田倉橋より少し南にある。この辺りは何度も来ているが、この「制札」は初めて見た。江戸城は巨大なのでどこに説明板を設置しても同じだけどね。しかし、こういうのを「制札」と言うかな？明治時代のお上が使いたがる用語だけど、なんか偉そうだね。
