Barbacoa Classico Marunouchi Branch — Restaurant in Tokyo

Was out with the husband and kiddo checking out the Christmas lights in the Marunouchi area on a Thursday night and was wondering what to have for dinner as the kiddo was getting hungry... as we went into the Shin-Marunouchi bldg, my husband saw that there was a Brazilian-style churrasco joint and decided we go there. As we walked in, I noticed that it's more swanky than other joints I've been to and definitely felt underdressed for the place; definitely a kid-free date night kind of joint as my 5 year old was the only child in the place (that I saw anyway).

We had to wait a bit for a table as most of the evening was booked with reservations but was able to snag a table in 15 minutes and was seated. The price point is a bit higher than most places I've been too but after we had the food from the salad bar and the churrasco meats, we determined that it was worth every yen! By far the best place for churrasco we've had in Japan up until now (and we've been to several). No complaints on the service either; the timing between the churrasco options was perfect and the staff even had a booster seat for the kiddo set up by the time we sat down... turns out we didn't need it as the kiddo was tall enough for the table. Another staffer even came around with a cover to put over my purse that I had hung on my chair.

I was expecting this lunch buffet just after my reservation weeks ago. This was my first time to experience this kind of buffet style, and it was truly amazing. The BBQ food, the salad & desert bar, everything was wonderful. Certainly the soft drinks package couldn't be missed. The girl who served me and explained how the buffet worked was attentive & detailed. They gave you a tap, one side in green & the other side in red. BBQ food was deserved to your table if your tap was in green. The meats were juicy, not too stiff and easy to eat. The salad bar was even more better, everything was so fresh & delicious. You could also try some vegetables you didn't see before. My plan offered 12 types of BBQ food, but finally I didn't know how many and what types I had taken. I just felt I was too full to continued the game. I can say this should be 1 of the best buffets in Tokyo. Good service, delicious food, beautiful environment and a playful game. Highly recommend...

Barely eat the meat! Not value for money. Wasting my time and money! Based on my experience, all you can eat is salad not the meat. Not to mention the meat smells pretty bad. Please check your quality of meats!!! Furthermore, my partner got a chunk of salt in the meat. I ate very tough meat, difficult to chew! The Brazilian juice is basically artificial passion fruit syrup (900JPY for an artificial drink?? What a quality!). Many desserts but all taste very sweet without any complexity and balance. The texture of banana cake was shockingly rough!! Not to mention a staff put cassava impolitely in my plate (I understand that you are busy, but please serve properly).
