The idea of sitting on a rickshaw pulled by someone in a busy street sounds daunting, especially for one with a "voluptuous" ๐๐ body like mine ๐คฃ.
I still remember when my driver The OG Tiger ๐ฏ (sorry onitsuka) which happen to share the same first name with my child hood hero (Kamen rider rx-ไปฎ้ขใฉใคใ)๐ค, asked me if I'm scared when he pulled both me and my son in his rickshaw and I'm kinda say I'm OK (but deep inside i was thinking, I wonder if this guy can pulled us as we can be a bit too heavy ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ) ..
How wrong i am, Tiger san ๐ฏfrom the start pulled the rickshaw like it weights nothing ( started to think maybe I'm not that big๐ anyhow. ... thanks, Jenny Craig). He pulled, and he galloped just like ... ehem Tiger๐ฏ (pardon the pun) through the Tokyo busy traffic and ... he still has that energy to talk while he pulled that heavy rickshaw. i was thinking that, surely this dude deserves to be recommended to represent Japan in the Olympic ๐คwith that stamina of his.
I looked back and lo behold, his colleague "wonder Mii"๐ฆธโโ๏ธ๐ฆนโโ๏ธ, despite she looks small but don't let the size fool you. She also followed us very closely with a rickshaw that got my wife and my daughter in it ( disclaimer: no discussion about the weight in Mii rickshaw as my missus might see this review ๐๐๐)
Tiger San and Mii chan are the dynamic duo that we are glad to have during our trip. Myself and my family enjoyed the ride from start to finish and really appreciate their depth of knowledge in explaining the location and history of it especially with the enthusiasm they have after pulling us through the busy traffic and their interactive.
Fully recommend these duos and Tokyo rickshaw. Please give them a promotion ๐๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
PS: Tiger and Mii you better like and follow my Google...

ย ย ย Read moreWent to Asakusa Street Market to purchase some souvineirs before we head back home. My mom saw the rickshaw rides and we ended up inquiring about the costs. The difference is about 1000 yen on most rides, so we ended up going as two. We took the 30 minute plan (10000 yen) and requested an english speaker (2000 yen). Our driver Mii-chan arrived and helped us get on the rickshaw.
The ride itself is great, you get to see a lot of Asakusa and the various pieces of history. We chose the nature route so we saw parks, shrines, and various festivities. We were lucky to have gotten the Children Kabuki performance that was happening at the time, and it was quite enjoyable.
Our driver, Mii-chan, was amazing at showing us the various views in Asakusa. Mii-chan knew a lot about the various buildings and history, so we got a lot of lore and history during the trip. Mii-chan is also a great conversationalist as it was easy to talk about today's happenings, our current trip history, and our hometown.
Overall the rickshaw tour was amazing and was quite an enjoyable experience. There were lots of selfies with us 3 and some scenic pictures taken as well. If you're visiting Asakusa for the street market and are a bit tired from all the shopping, I'd recommend taking a tour and relaxing in a rickshaw around the city. It'll give your feet a nice rest while you're still able to explore the city. There are many different plans to choose from, so be sure you choose one that fits your time...
