We stayed for 3 nights in a family apartment with river view. The view is facing the Sumida river and right in sight of the Asahi Beer headquarters and Tokyo Skytree. There is a rooftop where you can access to take higher view of the area, and in case you are not staying in a river facing room. The staff are all very friendly, and there are games which you can rent and crossword puzzle about hotel which you can complete to get a small gift, which my children did. The staff even gave them snacks apart from the gift! The hotel is situated next to A4 exit of the Ginza line, and Asakusa exits are just a short walk away (take exit 2b if you have luggage). There is Burger King and family mart right below the hotel, which was easy for us to get breakfast and water which was not provided by the hotel. Kaminarimon is just diagonally across the street and Sensoji temple grounds and the Nakamise shopping street are a short walk from the hotel. The hotel helps to store luggage before check-in and after check-out which is superb. You can request for pajamas (dress-style) and indoor slippers (only adult size available) and other amenities at the front desk. There are also items like ironing board, vacuum and games for free rental.
The room itself has a small cooking area, refrigerator and seating area. The toilet is separate from the bath area, with a sink on top of the toilet bowl to wash your hands after doing your business but no soap there so we ended up going to the bathroom each time we finish our toilet use to wash our hands properly. The beds are all single, with the 2 single put together to make up a double but if you somehow sit on it you may accidentally push the beds apart like how we did quite a few times. There is a closet rack to hang your clothes, but apart from the table at the sitting area there is little space to put other stuff. Luggage is on the floor as there are no luggage racks provided. Floor is carpet which is not the cleanest place to open our luggage. Speaking of which, the room is very dusty. In the morning when the sunlight shines into the room, you can see the dust particles floating around the air even with an air purifier turned on in the room. If you toss your blanket a bit, a lot of dust will fly up. I borrowed a vacuum to vacuum the place, but I think it made matters worse. They also only do cleaning and bedsheet on 4th day of stay, so since I only stay 3 nights my beddings were completely not changed at all. Only rubbish were emptied and towels/tissue replaced daily. I started having sore throat the second night and I ended up with an upper respiratory tract infection with conjunctivitis and dermatitis the day after I checked out after the 3rd night. Would not recommend if you are asthmatic or allergic to dust.
Respond to Minmaru 8-Dec-2024: Initially, I could accept that any lodging has cleanliness lapses and appreciate that the accommodation review their cleaning policies and improve their cleanliness. However, I am appalled by your suggestion that I could have requested for extra cleaning AT AN EXTRA CHARGE. Aren’t you supposed to provide guests with a clean room in the first place? If the room is not sufficiently clean at check-In, you expect the guest to pay for extra cleaning? The level of dust in the room 801 did not accumulate only after I started staying, the dust was already present when I first stepped into the room! If I had dirtied the room and asked for additional cleaning, I am happy to pay for such a service. But I believe that guests are subjected to receive a clean room at check-in.
Both my kids are also sick, and until now (a week later) we are still recovering from the illness caused by the dust. For a hotel that charges almost 70000 JPY per night for the 4 of us, I seriously don’t appreciate...

This was my first time and hotel in Japan and let me just say.. I absolutely love it! I highly recommend going to this spot.
Staff and Reception: The staff were extremely inviting and energetic when it came to helping us by giving our room keys, taking in our luggages and storing/sending them off to our next hotel. I also love the fact that the staff are a diverse bunch and multilingual along with being students which gives a broader and more welcoming vibe! The layout of the reception on floor two was beautifully decorated, and super interactive with the display of samples of the Japanese culture.
Room: Talk about set up! The bunkbed, two bed combo, kitchen, table, TV, spacious bathroom/wash(shower) room was incredible. It was my first time to see that! The amenities had me in awe. The beds were fairly comfy, and the room was clean. Very manageable space for 4 people. We had the 7th floor and the view was amazing to see the Japanese life from above!
Location: A++ for the location. You're super close to the Asakusa station (And I mean.. super close.. perhaps a 2 minute walk to say the least?) along with a good glimpse of the Skytree and Asahi Beer Building's Super Dry Hall (You'll see a distinctive golden sculpture on top of a building) which is good scenery. You're also about an 8 minute walk from Senso-ji, which is a must go! They have traditional wear rentals nearby which are perfect to feel just like a true Japanese, hehe. For quick bites, they literally have a Familymart and 7/11 nearby (By the way.. Japan's 7/11 USA's) along with super yummy dine in! (Highly recommend Ichiran Asakusa!)
P.S, If you open the booklet in the reception area, I drew Kujo Jotaro and the one post-it that says I'm from the Bay. :) Thank you guys for an amazing experience of a stay. I will recommend this place to others now.. lol! Until we meet again Japan. ^_^ 🌸🪭🗾🇯🇵...
Read moreThis hotel was great for our family of 4 (kids age 8 & 11- we stayed 4 nights at the front of our trip.) We stayed in a River View Family room. We loved the location of this hotel. Very convenient to the metro, we used the Ginza line the most. The room was well laid out with a separate room for a toilet and another for shower/bath room so that our family could get ready at the same time and still have privacy. The beds were firm but comfortable and both the room and hotel were quiet. The bed linens and towels were soft and spotless. The Family Mart on the first floor was super convenient, especially when we were all up at 2am the first day! We used the laundry room on the second floor during our stay which was about 400 yen per load (30 min wash/30 min dry) but they also offer to do your laundry for you if you want that option. The hotel was clean and while they don’t offer daily cleaning, they do come in and empty the trash and restock all the towels regularly which was sufficient for us. We really enjoyed the Asakusa neighborhood and were happy we chose to base ourselves here. Lots of activity but not too much where you feel overwhelmed because you can come and go from it when you stay at this hotel. Many restaurant options and shopping all within a 3-5 min walk. The first morning we were up early and went to walk around Sensoji at 5am. I highly recommend doing this and then going back later in the day to see the comparison. Having it to yourself at 5am is amazing. The only trouble we had with early wake ups is that there are not many restaurant options that open before 10am so 7/11 breakfast becomes the main option. However, you can easily choose to eat breakfast in your room since there is a kitchen. I would definitely...
