I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Asakusa, and I must say that the food was absolutely exceptional. The flavors were authentic, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. It's undoubtedly one of the best dining experiences I've had in the area.
However, I feel compelled to mention an unpleasant aspect of my visit. During my time there, I noticed an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a toilet emanating from somewhere nearby. While it didn't originate from within the restaurant itself, it was still noticeable and somewhat off-putting.
To fully enjoy your meal and minimize the impact of this external odor, I highly recommend opting to dine inside the restaurant rather than sitting outside. The interior ambiance is pleasant, and the staff is attentive and friendly.
Despite the unfortunate odor issue, I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious food in Asakusa. The quality of the cuisine is truly outstanding, making it worth a visit. Just be sure to stay inside to avoid any unpleasant olfactory...
Read moreMe and my parents went to this restaurant because I wanted to try oden(fish cake) we just finished our lunch though. But they charged extra dishes, which I didn't order and even one for my parents too!(we addressed that they are not here for food and we informed before we get a table and they said it is okay). When we complained about it they asked my parents to leave. They had to wait outside because my food was already on the way, and other than I had to waste my money because they would not want to refund it. If we knew about it, we would never get a table there.
Not only the services but the oden was cold and doesn't taste fresh. They were pre-made oden and stored at the refrigerator ( I'm okay with it), but when I ordered warm oden, it supposed to be boiled at least!!!! But it was just microwaved. So disappointed 😞
Even the temple around here was so empty that there was no sign or information desk. No worth it.
*I figured they charge a table fee ¥450 for...
Read moreWorst restaurant we have tried in Tokyo so far, food is not tasty, small portion and pricy. We are surprised that it’s so bad with relatively high ratings on google. As said in other bad reviews too, it requires seating fee with a small free appetizer, and it takes forever to get the appetizer and the food. The umeshu is pricy yet super low quality, the plum flavor is almost zero and with strong alcoholic taste. The mango sour soft drink is plain soda water plus frozen mango and ice, but costs same as umeshu! And it doesn’t taste mango! The salmon rice bowl has 4 pieces of salmon with the black fishy part. Whitebait and egg rice is also very boring, flavorless. The skewers are generally easy to make yet they fail again, super salty and the squid is over cooked. Also there are some bugs and ants crawling on the table, which we haven’t experienced in other restaurants in...
