Unfortunately I am sad to say I am concerned for the welfare of the dogs at this cafe. I visited today 23/12/23 and was not sure what to expect as I’ve not been to a pet cafe before, but I am an avid dog lover who’s owned many dogs before and was missing spending time with animals so I thought it would be a good experience… I left feeling disturbed and unsettled and almost brought to tears as I can see that these dogs are not happy at all.
I am no dog behaviour specialist, but I can clearly see these dogs are over stimulated and stressed. When dogs are panting and yawning, it is not because they are over heated but because they are stressed and anxious.
They are also hiding under the tables and trying to escape the patrons. The dogs don’t have anywhere to retreat from the customers when they need a break… any they all very clearly needed a break away from people.
I hope the owner can read our concerns not as a way of bashing your business but as a way to consider some changes to implement to ensure the wellbeing of the animals comes first, before the customer’s entertainment.
I would like to see perhaps a space created for the dogs to go to where customers can leave them alone if they need a break, a dark and quiet corner where they can freely choose to go rest would be ideal.
I would also like to see staff intervene when unaware customers are poking and prodding at them. Many of the dogs where hiding under tables and some of the patrons were climbing under the tables trying to grab at their tails and get their attention but these dogs are clearly trying to create space and get away.
I do also hope that there is some sort of rotation system, so that the same dogs are not there all day long. Perhaps 1-2 hours per dog a day and the rest of the day they can go elsewhere as it is heartbreaking to think the same dogs are there all day everyday as that’s no life or freedom for them (I am not sure if you already do have a system in place but these dogs need downtime)
I would also like you to consider that breeds such as border collies and huskies do not do well in an environment such as this, they are working dogs who enjoy the outdoors and need a lot of physical exercise and being locked in a small room all day is very sad.
I also hope these dogs are getting walked, not just for bathroom breaks but for the mental stimulation of sniffing as this would do wonders for their mental health.
Please owners, if you are truly dog lovers, put your animals first and make some positive changes, I think you could have a wonderful business if you go about it in the right way, otherwise you are no better...

The staff served us lately when we arrived ,and the face looks like the job is very annoying? We can hear the sound of the dogs' nails ticking on the floor, seems like the last nail cutting was a long long time ago. At first there were 3 dogs, but two of them seems very tired and inactive. Then a shiba was brought to the cafe and the staffs advised that the shiba might bite people. In the cafe, the dogs were left to move freely. Suddenly the dog jumps onto my friends thigh, front legs on table and hind legs on her thigh. Most of the staffs saw it but no one come to help. Finally a staff walked near, staring the dog and asked his partner 'will it bite me?'. Luckily the shiba leave without causing any injuries, after that it was kept separately from the customers. I think the staffs should know the ways to handle the dogs especially for the dangerous one, it only made the customers more frightenning when the words come out from the staff. When it's time to leave, we walked to the entrance but none of the staffs came to unlock the door (the door should be unlocked by the staff to avoid the dogs from escaping the cafe). We stood there for minutes and a staff walk pass in front of me and acts like nothing happened? The bar is facing the door so I think most of the staffs can see us standing at the entrance. I pretty sure the staffs are many enough to handle the scene. It will be better if the staffs are more alert and well trained and there is no fault to hang a smile for seconds, talking with a kind and friendly tone, even just when you are serving...
Read moreThis honestly deserves a 1 star but because the dogs seemed well taken care of, if not a bit tired out from a constant flow of customers, I'm giving this 2 stars.
First of all, this place is a cafe meaning service should be number 1. The 2 girls working today (5/7/18) were inattentive and more focused on their conversation with each other than on the customers or the dogs. We waited like fools at the table for someone to take our orders until we finally caught the attention of one of the servers who told us to go to the counter. When my waffle finally arrived, the portion was unreasonably small for the price (RM14) but this is forgivable considering how expensive it is to upkeep the place. What made it horrible was the fact that the waffle batter had gone off!! No one bothered to check the batter for days and served it without any quality control. At least I was given a refund
Secondly, the 2 girls were slow at everything. They waited so long to clean up a table (at least 10 minutes) that one of the dogs was able to take food from a table and they had only been chatting to each other again. They were also slow to wipe up dog urine plus the diapers seem to be useless and the dogs defecate and urinate everywhere and this is extremely unhygienic
Thirdly, the dogs need a break from customers or a quiet place. 2 dogs were constantly hiding in a corner to avoid human contact but some customers couldn't take the hint. This could be solved by letting the dogs 'work' in shifts. Customers should also be told to sanitise their hands upon entering the restaurant and before touching the dogs as they can spread...
