mmCineplexes City Square — Attraction in Johor

I'm not going to say that this cinema is a scammer, but I would say it is deceitful. I bought Transformers movie ticket and as I walked to the cinema entrance, I saw and overheard two guys requesting that their tickets refunded and the lady staff said they are unable to refund because it is their company policy.

Long story short, they bought the tickets the same as mine and was denied entry nor refund because the movie release date was ahead (on 7th of June), which I didn't see any of the visible notification/ information. Was it my own mistake? Yes, an unintended one. And with that, I found this deceitful because the information regarding this were put in the form of A4 paper, pasted between each touch screen kiosk for ticketing.

The first thing people usually look at is the touch screen kiosk, not the A4 paper. Is this deceitful? I let the public decide. If the release date is an advanced one, would you do nothing directly with the system and show it a better way on the screen? Or at least do you know other cinema companies do actually separate purchase of advanced movie tickets at the bottom part?

Lousy place to watch a movie. Booked a movie in the afternoon for 9.30pm movie. Upon arriving, we realised my wife and myself were the only pax to watch the movie. It will be very odd, scary and we will not enjoy the movie for sure if we were to watch. Thus we asked the person manning the counter if we can change to 10.30pm movie as there was about 6-8 people that have booked for the same movie we booked. Unfortunately, he kept saying can't change and despite explaining the situation! Really not professional and this shows how bad the cinema is and no wonder they do not have much people watching movies at their cinema. I went into the cinema hall 4, movie haven't even start, my wife and myself were super spooked! It was bloody scary. The person manning the counter really no brain! Otak Mati. Also explained so many times and end up, we left after seeing the scary empty cinema. Used to patronize here often. We WILL NEVER PATRONIZE ANYMORE. Mmcineplexes management seriously need to look into their inefficient way over at the ticketing and snack collection counters. Always operating with only few counters (despite peak period), situation is made worse as patrons need to decide right away if they want to buy snacks whilst purchasing their tickets (as the snack counter is strictly for collection only), else they have to queue up and join the ticketing line again - resulting bad queue flows.

And with regards to online ticketing, perhaps Mmcineplexes may want to learn how other cinema operators (eg. TGV) are doing away with ticket collection for online booking? The current MmCineplexes practice really defeat the the whole purpose as patrons with online bookings still have to join the snaking queue just to collect the...
