Most horrid experience in over 2 decades of traveling to KL with food in general. Either the Indian food scene is messed up in KL (which just can’t be true), else these reviews are all fabricated.
Dined in today, despite multiple instructions that I don’t want the Samosa Chat sweet, I was served a cold samosa with almost chilled sugary curd and sweet chutney. The waiter failed to even listen to what was requested.
Tawa Roti’s were precooked, just heated and served with a lousy Paneer Tikka Masala. Worst I would have had anywhere to date, lacks basic taste and flavours (it’s Tikka Masala, your gravy must have the Tandoor aroma).
After being frustrated ordered a Gobi Manchurian, the florets were stale/ rotten (some had black chunks and some totally soggy). Again an extremely sweet dish despite repetitive requests to keep it extra hot.
Guys, there are much better options in KL, please don’t go by what’s sponsored to bury the bold and gracious flavours of India. This is not even close...
Read moreWhat really stands out here is the level of service. One of the most genuinely friendly and welcoming service team around. They are actually happy to see us when we arrived for the very first time. Communication skills are smooth and of a high standard. Questions are well answered and suggestions are freely given without pressure.
The restaurant interior is not very big but it is bright, cheerful, clean, convivial and comfortable. Ventilation is excellent and refreshing. For the five of us we decided on the mixed tandoori platter - a sampling of 7 different preparations. We added two pots of biryani rice and three naans. Also ordered the paneer tikka marsala and prawn curry.
Most of the tandoori platter was fine but the kebabs did taste a bit dry. Loved the naans especially the cheese. The paneer marsala was excellent. We washed it all down with salted lassi and a big pot of Punjabi tea (very strong and fragrant). It was a most enjoyable and...
Read moreUpdate after my second visit for Sunday lunch: I brought my family to have lunch here, and just found out that the Thali set is not available during weekend..It was quite disappointing as I was so excited to bring my family over..Suggest to place a note on the menu saying the set is only for weekday lunch.
I was looking for a decent Indian restaurant for lunch on Friday, and I found this restaurant on Google due to its high review rating. Initially I thought this might not be 100% genuine reviews, as these days, there are more and more paid-reviews. However, I still decided to try the food.
I ordered a chicken thali set, and I can tell you, all the sides served in this set were AMAZING! I love the dhal, chickpeas, and vegetables, the chicken curry was great too! I am not a big fan of acar, so I didn't take that. But the rest, I finished them all! It was so good! I will return again some time for the...
