Hotel New Winner — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Pro : enough room for solo traveler, clean and nice. Mineral water supply 2 bottles per day, you can ask from the front desk. Electric water kettle in the room. I got a cold during stay, so it's so nice to have warm water anytime without fuss. Plenty of sockets (I count 4). Nice, clean towels. Good wi-fi in the room. Communal ironing space. Good, strategic location, plenty of nice and cheap food vendors around, halaal and non halaal (even when I arrived 10.30pm, still got nice warm pork noodle soup from the next door vendor). There also 7-11 and KK mart just around the corner, opens for 24h. Near KL sentral rapid KL station and Tun Sambanthan station, and easy to go to and from airport with the KLIA express. Near NU sentral mall. Well I don't really care about the mall, but I can find money changer there, at the ground floor.

Con : some unexpected dangerously high raises on the floor, on the corridor (photo) and in the room (before bathroom, as in the photo), so be careful. Water heater worked on the 1st day, but then not on the rest of my stay. TV got problem, showing only text and sound but no picture, starting 2nd day (I was too lazy to ask for help).

Overall, a nice stay, and I'd come here again next time. Great value for money, because I booked just 2 months prior for...

We’ve stayed at New Winner Hotel twice in the last couple of weeks. It’s a great location if you want to be close to KL Sentral. The first time our room was passable with comfy bed and pillows and we had a corner room that was quiet. We didn’t have any complaints but our second stay was horrible.

Room 228 and the rooms around their smell very very strongly of water damage and mold to the extent that it hurt our noses to breath and it causes allergy. Complete health hazard. The next day all of our things smelt like the room as well as our bodies and hair. We have travelled around South East Asia for many years and stayed in many budget hotels and have never had this experience before. Sure, sometimes it can smell a bit musky due to lack of ventilation but this was something else.

It was also extremely noisy with guests walking around late at night, tvs on very loudly etc. The staff seem alright and friendly enough but we don’t recommend staying there and...

The first time I stay here because My regular hotel is expensive, and I decided to Looking for another hotel close from KL sentral, this hotel is old but The cleanliness was decent, on the first day there were no problems but on the second day my AC was not cold, and they gave me a new room, the location is very close to KL Sentral, lots of halal food arounds, 24 hours restaurant, NU Sentral Mall and also laundry store

My suggestion Maybe the pillow should be replaced or at least double the pillowcase because maybe the pillow is old, but apart from that everything is good and the streets around is safe for woman Who travels alone

I will come again and probably will stay again at New Winner...
