Poor service, bad food.
I wasn't greated and neither was I offered a table nor a menu. I had to take one myself and ask if I could sit down somewhere. That's already a big minus for me.
The menu list was enormous and never ending so, I asked a recommendation. The server specifically refered to the Mutton Kola Biriyani. So this is what I had: Fried Bitter Gourd (starter) Mutton kola Biriyani (main) Spinach Raita (condiment) Masala Tea and Rasmalai (dessert).
The starter was served after my main course. But anyways. It just doesn't stop here.
Mutton Kola Biriyani: was served with one cooked egg and 3 balls of something, that was supposed to be mutton, but quite frankly tasted like big dried up falafels. Where was the meat? The cooked egg looked either overcooked or old. Either way, I wasn't having it. Not a fan of cooked egg in a meal with other protein sources. The rice was however delicious and was infused with cardamom, curry leaves and cloves. The spinach Raita was deliciously spicy. The fried Bitter Gourd/cucumber was just like its name suggests, lightly bitter. It was okay. Not exceptional but perfectly fine to eat. Tea Massala was absolutely delicious. I wish the serving cup was bigger. Rasmalai was chewy and stiff, and had a bad sour taste, as if it was old. I had one bite and put it aside. It...

Butter Tikka masala chicken was the star on our table. It matches with anything we ordered. The sweetness really helped to keep going with a little spicy flavor.
We ordered garlic naan, cheese naan and keema chicken naan. For the keema chicken naan, they spread the keema sauce in the dough before cooked. It was kind of new and tasted good. The cheese does not stretch like other shops, so be aware of that.
Our drinks were cold butter masala milk and hot badam milk. Butter masala milk was like spiced yogurt drink. Very good mint flavor which was refreshing and good at cleansing pallet. Basam milk was very gentle but spiced with saffron.
As our side menu, we chose broccoli pakoda. Somewhat nostalgic taste and the dough was very gently seasoned.
Butter masala chicken and any types of vegetable pakodas are recommended. If you need indian flavor in the morning, this is one place...

Cross the overhead bridge of KL Sentral Monorail to the other side of Jalan Tun Sambanthan opposite Nu Sentral. Coming down from the right side elevator , walk straight for a minute and turn left into a small road at corner of De Sentral Hotel. Walk to the end and turn right into Jalan Thambipillay – you will see My Hotel. The restaurant is just a minute walk down.
We had chicken dum biryani, fish tikka and paneer tikka masala and lemon juice without.
Perhaps due to miscommunication, we did not know that paneer tikka masala is a kind cheesy dish. We did not like it. The chicken dum biryani was flavourful. The rice was fluffy and aromatic. The chicken was tender. It was delicious. We were very disappointed with the tikka fish. Despite the charred and golden colour, it was soft and salty. Instead of using mackerel fish, I think white...
