Went here last December for my youtube channel as per suggested by my friend. So here is my full review of the restaurant
Food: It is a little bit pricey, of course you do expect the price is higher compared to regular street dim sum, but the taste is much more superb compared to the price. I tried their szechuan, a prawn filled dumpling with spicy soy sauce. Dipping the dumpling in the sauce, with the prawn based dumpling, making the dumpling is full of flavour. I would say that this is the best food here. Next I tried the Prawn Cheong Fun. It is a bit oily, but very soft and filled with spicy flavour. Worth the price. I also tried the salad prawn dumpling; a prawn dumpling that is served with a creamy like sauce.
Environment: They created an Asian-Chinese themed environment, in a mall with a bamboo themed restaurant. So for me it is a great environment. Maybe they can cover the transparent glass to make you forget that you are actually in the one of busiest mall in KL.
Staff Services: I always put this factor as one of the most crucial things in my review as for me, a franchise is nothing without their staff, and to ensure that the staff should get the credit that they deserved. The root of a great restaurant, is the great staff. Prior to arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted warmly by a male staff named Razali, waiting to be seated politely. Then was served a female staff named Nadiah. A soft spoken and friendly person that had suggested these 3 meals for new customers. Having some conversations with her, she said her fiancee also like the szechuan. When i went to wash my hands (i expected the meal could be eaten by hand of course lol, a first timer in Chinese restaurant), i met a tall female staff (did not managed to catch her name as she was bowing to me), who is also politely greeted me.
Kudos to those 3 staff who managed to serve their customer well even during the peak hour.
Overall: 4.5 out of 5 Food: 4.5 out of 5 Environment: 4 out of...
Read moreThe food was marvellous, we ordered 3 Sweet Blessings CNY Set for 18 people in advance, and it was more than enough. Very tasty, savoury and left us well fed. The set was varied and interesting especially their CNY Specials. The Yee Sang demonstration performed in front of us was also entertaining and wholesome. An enlightening experience.
The service itself, spearheaded by Mr Ruth, was non-pareil. From initial WhatsApp menu consultation, to booking, to the dinner itself, they were very helpful and patient. They went into detail on what arrangements would be best for our group, prepared our sitting quickly despite us arriving earlier than the reserved time, and served our meal with professionalism and tact. Do not expect to be served your food too quickly (
Read moreFood was OK, service was OK at first until towards the end we shared that we didn't get one of our orders. Their server's first response was "kenapa tak cakap tadi" as if it's our fault that we didn't get the dish..
Then they insisted that they served us the dish, borderline accusing us of lying (lol the dish was just rm12) and they left us hanging for the longest time without updates (by then we finished eating, was just waiting to pay the bill).. turned out they were checking the cctvs to verify whether or not we actually got the dish
Then they updated after checking the footage, we indeed didn't get the dish, but was still trying to spin things around since we didn't tell them earlier blah blah blah
No apologies, definitely did not even try to listen to us. I understand dinner crowd was busy and closing time was close, but staff were outright rude as if we were messing with them for fun. We could've just paid for the dish, but since they wanted to prove us wrong so much, we let them be. Won't come again and won't recommend especially if they keep up with this...
