This place is so freaking frustrating to find. On the first day we walked past the entrance near Bukit nanas station and it said the eco forest park was closed due to weather. We met another tourist couple that told us if we kept walking around we would eventually find another entrance near the Menara tower. We thought we would give it a go and found morning. On the following day we tried again and decided to walk around the Convent. Again after walking around and around a local lady pointed us towards the direction of an entrance. We finally reached it. Given it was so difficult to find and Google maps didn’t seem to know where to take us we were left very irritated. The forest park entrance fee was around RM40. This seemed a bit steep considering there’s plenty of free gardens like the botanical gardens that you could walk around. Wouldn’t recommend this, it’s too difficult to find and not...

The RM 40 fee is not worth it for non residents.

Great spot and a lovely green lung in the city. But it's something I'd leave to the locals to enjoy and cherish.

Signage is terrible and needs an upgrade to show trekkers where they are currently rather than just pointing out random directions.

Some of the slopes are super steep and would be better off having a railing on the side for wet season (see pic with the red flooring). One set of steps on the trail so narrow and made out of metal that it's a potential disaster for tripping.

Overall, great work with maintenance of the greenery and the canopy. Shoddy stuff...

Multiple trekking paths available and some are quite challenging. There are staircases in certain uphill stretches. Some steps are broken but personally I prefer some broken steps rather than workers coming in to repair and damaging trees in the process.

The canopy walk needs maintenance. Many steps are broken. Instead of a long cement plank, two shorter cement planks can be used.

Parking is available in KL Tower area. The Jalan Ampang entrance should be opened because trekkers can easily take either the LRT or monorail to get there.

I personally appreciate...

Slip and slide We went after a slight drizzle. Though the slope is patterned with intention of creating traction, it didn’t help as a few people slipped and slide on the way down. There was also no railing to hold onto while one goes down the slopes. Some parts of the floor are mossy and that makes it even more slippery. What you can do would be to walk along the unpaven sides where the grass and stony path gives one more grip. The canopy walk is more sensibly built and may just be the only thing worthwhile visiting.

When we arrived at the gate, the PIC said it will open at 9am as it rained that morning. We then decided to go for a walk until 9am. Their time management is very bad, as they only opened the gate for visitors at 9.40am! Paid RM10 but nothing impressive except for the canopy walk. The forest is not well-kept, and it's very sad to see how pathetic it is. Mind you, the ground can be slippery of it rained, be careful. For foreigners, you can give this a pass as the fee you're paying of RM40 is not worth it at all.
