The atmosphere is great. It feels like someplace that’s not Malaysia. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and focused on your needs. Enam and Azim are great!
But then the food. Let me tell you from a local perspective. It’s sucks. For its price. It’s sucks. We ordered the crab. 18rm per gram. We chose the big one, 850gm that’s 153rm for a Beautiful mud crab. WASTED. The chef, he pan fried it with oil till it was dry and devoid of moisture. Crabs are over 80% water and this big crab’s flesh was reduced to a wrinkled dry and tiny mess. When the crab was cracked open, the remaining dehydrated dry flesh was just a tiny slither inside a big claw shell. The frying also caused a lot of the dry flesh to stick onto the inner walls of the shells thus leaving more content for the rubbish bin more than our stomachs. We live in Malaysia and Malaysia is king of crab dishes. Chinese restaurants serve crabs everywhere and the basic knowledge is not known to a fine dining chef. Ruined. Crab ruined.
Then the lamb. It’s sucks too. Medium well. But just not great. Rubber texture and no crispy fats and charred surface. No juicy tender meat. Heat was not enough. Rack of lamb is a bbq grilled dish. Not a stew. I’m a grilled lamb specialist foodie. So maybe my standards are high. I expect crispy hot fats over charred surface meat with juicy sealed juices on the inside tender meat.
Consolidation, staff was great. Amazing staff. And butter garlic scallop was good. 3 big pieces for 28rm. Can la....expensive but fine dining right? Can accept. But the crab and the lamb. Shows how much they know about the art of cooking. Chef fail. Never coming back again. I don’t recommended Malaysians to eat there. Maybe for one time tourists who never coming back again anyways. Malaysian locals will find this standard very low in terms of cooking method and dining taste texture and experience.
Side note, thank you Enam for the cake at the end. Super appreciate that. You...

The standout was a duo of perfectly cooked fish, each with its own unique texture and flavour, but both brought together by a sauce that was nothing short of extraordinary — rich, balanced, and deeply savoury. Every bite was a reminder of how a good sauce can elevate already excellent seafood into something memorable.
The butter prawns were another highlight. Creamy and indulgent, the dish was executed with just the right touch — not too heavy, allowing the natural sweetness of the prawns to shine through. Speaking of which, the freshness of the seafood here deserves special mention. Every item on the table tasted like it had come straight from the ocean that morning.
Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance casual but inviting — the kind of place where the food speaks louder than any fancy decor.
If you’re a seafood lover, this spot should be on your radar. It’s rare to find a place that nails both flavour and freshness so...

P8 Marina Waves Bistro is truly a must-visit spot in Kuala Lumpur. Housed in a beautifully preserved 100-year-old building, the place blends old-world charm with modern comfort. The KL Tower as its backdrop makes the view nothing short of mesmerizing — especially from the dining area right beneath it. It’s a place where creativity flows, and so does the Guinness!
I had the beef steak, and it was cooked to perfection, just the way I like it. The other dishes were very sumptuous too. The Guinness Stout was rich and smooth — absolutely on point. The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, and the valet service made the whole experience stress-free (a big plus in downtown KL!).
Whether you're planning a memorable event, a relaxed dinner, or just want to chill by the outdoor bar and watch KL life pass by — this is the place. Great food, great view, great service. Just great!
Tip: If you’re planning to indulge, maybe leave the car at home and Grab it instead 😉
