Arenaa Star Hotel — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

This is the worst Hotel i have ever stayed. it was worst in all ways. I stayed in arena Star from 22nd Feb 2024 to 25th Feb 2024 Everytime we entered the room a stinky smell was there. No towels were provided on 1st day. after informing them they provided them same. which were also stinky. The towels provided were so much used that everytime we used it a white threads flake was coming out of it. Housekeeping was done only for the sake of doing it. Floor was in same condition before and after house keeping . Worst part is the Breakfast. Same menu almost everyday. No much options for vegetarian people. only available breakfast option is curry puff, Roti canoi, bread butter. Other all options are non veg In breakfast they have menu of Roti canoi and dhal everyday. Roti is so hard to chew and Dhal is worst. If any indian would taste the dhal would literally abuse the cook. WiFi is also very worst not good with speed. WORST PART - My bus to SG was at 4pm from chinatown. i requested them for late late check-out to which they agreed a day before checkout and on the day of checkout they straight away denied saying not allowed and if required i will be charged. i agreed to pay 70MYR for the same since i was travelling with a elderly person. WORST PART IS WHEN I ASKED FOR SOME WATER AFTER 12PM THEY DENIED GIVING WATER SAYING I HAVE CROSSED THE NORMAL CHECKOUT TIME. I SAID WE HAVE PAID THE EXTENSION AMOUT BUT STILL THEY DENIED. WHEN I WENT AND ARGUED WITH THE RECEPTION THEY PROVIDED THE SAME. Staff is not at all friendly based on above incident . Rooms are at worst conditions very smelly and mould on walls at some places. looks like hotel only cares for money. No soundproofing. I could literally hear people chitchatting and entering thier rooms No locks on bathroom door hence no privacy.

If anyone is reading this review i would suggest not to book here in star arena. Especially if your vegetarian stay away from the breakfast menu. you will end up eating bread...

This hotel doesn’t deserve 3 star, this is not equivalent to any star . This is a transit hotel which you can use for freshening up, better to use any other hotel nearby, they will be cheaper and better.

1. If you are paying for 3 star hotel forget it better to pay little more and book near buting bitang, you will get better and new hotel.

2. Seats to wallpaper every thing is in bad shape , my worst experience in my entire travelling history. Cups and glasses doesn’t match , don’t have kettle, no international channel only limited 12-15 Malaysian channel and that even advertising channel😂.

3. Rooms are smelly and have cockroaches 🪳 everywhere I complaint about the same they said send pictures so I chased few cockroaches and send them the pictures 😜. Any complaint you give they will be on denial mode 🫣.

4. At food end also you will get disappointment same food served daily no taste at all , no variety asked they if they have running kitchen for omelette door was shut immediately. Glasses are not clean shared pics .

5. Staff is polite but is of no use, as it seems only intention of owner is to earn money, so don’t waste your money to get them rich 🤑.

6. Carry your dental kit you will not get here , ac is just to keep the temperature regulated not that effective , no swimming pool .

7. Rooms are small , queen bed provided, this is like oyo budgeted hotel which you get for Rs 1500-2000. If you are alone better to take pods and ignore this hotel .

8. If you are with your family for travel, better to book any other hotel near to buting Bintang if you have budget constrain , food can be constrain so carry as much food from 🇮🇳 it will save your money and time .

Final words this is not three star hotel , this hotel doesn’t deserve any star. Avoid...

Had to book with my colleague for a week visit and got a room without a window with wash basin inside the bedroom. That itself was a reg flag for us. The reception team consists of 3 members, who is not capable of addressing any issues and doesnt know how to attend Room service calls. We had to go down atleast 5 times to get floor matts in our room. Nothing is great to mention about the service they provide. Had mentioned thrice to clean the room and luckily we got it once. All the response we got from the reception team was that they had sent maintenance team to get it done. Guess it takes weeks for them to get to our room. Glad that we didn't pay extra for food or it would be a disaster. Had visited their Gym and Pool which is not cleaned atleast for a year. If you have WD40 (rust removal) you can access their Gym quiet frequently. One more surprising element - Our room had an extra door which was locked - we could easily hear what was happening in the other room - We could easily knock the door and make them aware that we can listen to them :p I was with my colleague and he had to stay on the bed itself while I use the bathroom. Thanks to No - Locking mechanism of the door. That was quite new for us. Their Google number never works I guess. Only guy which helped us was a maintenance guy, he was from Bangladesh. He helped us in many ways to sort our issues. Tried using their mini fridge and saw used water bottle. Location is the only good thing. Easily accessible to LRT stations and...
