The park is in dire need of refurbishment and maintenance and is totally underinvested. The signposts and trails markings are non existent, many paths lead to nowhere, the path structure is not well maintained with many broken parts so it's easy to trip, it's super easy to get lost, many gates are closed on the weekend which is a joke considering most people come here on the weekend I assume. One trail was closed due to a landslide and there was only a sign in Malay notifying about it with no tape to cordon off the entrance. If you don't speak Malay you can easily venture into a closed trail. There are no water fountains provided nor vending machines, the only place to get water is next to the only open entrance near KL tower. It is even difficult to find entrance to this place and I had to ask 2 different people on the way to the KL tower how to get to the park. Once you enter it, you have to exit the same way, as the gate on the other side is closed on the weekends. So difficult to install an automatic turnstile exit if you can't afford to put a person at the gate? With all this, paying RM 40 for entrance is a total joke. The place is in total ruin and I have no idea where all this money for entrance fee is going, probably being pocketed. Don't waste your time and money on this place. Unfortunately the state of the park is a reflection of general state of things and the level of organisation and maintenance in...
Read moreNot recommended for visit regardless of whether you are a local or a foreigner like me.
I am from Australia and the botanical gardens local to my area are much well maintained and obviously free of charge.
If this Eco park was within 15-20min drive from my place and the entrance was free of charge then I may have recommended it but it’s definitely not worth RM10 the Malaysians pay nor it’s worth the ridiculously high RM40 the overseas people pay.
At the time of my visit which was around 11am during the day the information centre and art gallery was closed. There is quite a bit of stairs all around with a few trip hazards here and there.
You can have the smoke from cigarettes almost to every corner of the park which is mostly from the maintenance staff who are mostly standing or sitting around and smoking cigarettes.
The park is much smaller than what it actually looks like on the map.
On the canopy walk most of the bolts to the canopy which are supporting the bridges / ropes are corroded.
There is almost little to no information available on the information boards and it’s mostly QR codes around that you need to scan to find out more information and read stuff on your phone.
Overall the park isn’t really well maintained and I would have rated it as an average park if it had free entrance and was local to my area.. it’s definitely not a...
Read moreIt's a great place for a good relaxation and retreat for city life. However, a change of management team is required if you want to retain this place or make it great again! Bad experience! We came by with a group of friends around 20 of us at 7:30am on 20 April (Saturday) at the KL Tower entrance. Unfortunately not only the entrance was not open, there wasn't any sign to inform what's going on there. Waited till 8:00am and asked a worker there why the ticket counter was not open, surprising answer we got was that the boss will be coming but not sure when will arrive! We end up had to grab our breakfast at the nearby restaurant. After our meal, we passed by the entrance at about 10:30am, to our surprise, the gate was still remain closed and not a single sign informing if it is going to be open! As a tourist spot, this is a bad and unprofessional! There were quite a number of foreign tourists there too and shaking their heads! This bad management is tarnishing our international image as a tourist attraction country, let alone we are going to have Visit Malaysia Year 2025! Tourism board, please do something to save your efforts promoting...
