Ambiance
The restaurant boasts a contemporary and elegant interior design, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Its well-lit space, complemented by modern decor and comfortable seating, sets the mood for a relaxing meal. The overall cleanliness and attention to detail in its setup reflect its commitment to providing a premium dining atmosphere.
Food Quality
Aras Restaurant specializes in a variety of cuisines, with a strong emphasis on authentic local and Middle Eastern dishes. The food is prepared with high-quality ingredients, ensuring that each dish is flavorful and well-presented. Popular menu items include their tender kebabs, aromatic biryanis, and traditional Malaysian favorites. Service is typically fast, but the restaurant can get busy during peak hours, which might slightly affect waiting times.
Pricing
The pricing is reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. While it leans towards the mid-to-high range, the portion sizes and overall experience justify the cost.
Highlights • Must-try dishes: Lamb Mandi, Mixed Grill Platter, and Baklava for dessert. • Special offerings: Authentic Middle Eastern coffee and freshly baked bread. • Accessibility: Convenient location in Kuala Lumpur, with ample parking spaces and easy access via public transport.

(It may be quite extensive for a review)
Me and my family went on the weekend for a birthday celebration. This is the review I have.
One of the highlights was definitely the Roasted Whole Duck and the Asian cuisine, both of which were well-prepared and enjoyable. The desserts were also quite nice. Additionally, the plating and presentation were well done, making the dishes look appetizing.
However, considering the overall price point, some sections didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of quality and freshness:
FOOD Pasta Section – Tried the carbonara, but the flavor and texture weren’t quite right. It could be improved.
Japanese Section – The sashimi didn’t taste as fresh as expected, which was a bit disappointing.
Seafood on Ice – The oysters, green mussels, scallops, and boiled flower crab lacked freshness, which is crucial for a seafood selection.
Dim Sum – The quality and freshness could definitely be better.
SERVICE & STAFF The service was a mix of highs and lows. Two servers really stood out with their kindness and attentiveness, even trying their best to help us take tons of pictures. Their hospitality made our experience much better.
On the other hand, one of the managers (or someone in a senior role) seemed to have a rather poker-faced expression, which made interactions feel a bit unwelcoming. Of course, it could have just been a stressful day. (no offense)
DECOR & CLEANLINESS The ambiance felt like it was missing something, possibly due to:
Chairs and tables – While functional, they felt a bit outdated and could use a more modern or stylish upgrade for a high-end setting.
Lighting – Certain areas were too dim, which didn’t quite match the overall theme and atmosphere. Adjusting the brightness could enhance the dining experience.
On a positive note, the washroom was very well-maintained, with a cleaner stationed at the entrance welcoming guests, which added to the overall sense of cleanliness and hospitality. (HE WAS KIND HAHA)
Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects, refinements in food quality, service consistency, and decor could elevate the...
Read moreI went for buffet with on wife's birthday. The food I must say was great (I am an Asian so I can vouch for Asian taste buds too :D ) The best part is that there is a lot of variety.. lot. Appetizers, mean course, soups, salads, lot of dessert. Great stuff.
The staff was very nice and immediately took away plates when we finished eating a dish. Always asked if everything is ok. In picture you can see the gentleman who served us very well and also brought complimentary cake for my wife while singing happy birthday. Thank you Sir for your service.
Hmm now what are the cons. Basically your buffet reservation is from 3 till 05:30 p.m. but you need to redeem your online ticket at the counter on ground floor even if you have a previous online qr code. Don't know why. That couner opens like 10-15 mins before 3 p.m. so you need to wait. I suggest standing in line around 02:40 to ensure you get it redeemed fast. One young lady at this counter was very rude for some reason. The other older lady was ok. On a week day it took around 20 mins to wait at lift and we reached for buffet in the restaurant around 03:15 which isn't bad as we had sufficient time to eat. When you are going up, please ask them to drop you at restaurant and not observation deck. You can visit observation deck after buffet as it remains open till 09:30 p.m. and included in ticket.
For restaurant, I do suggest putting newer chairs and refreshing the carpet. These small aesthetic changes will really boost the overall atmosphere and is well deserving for such a place / view and will significantly improve reviews & customer experience.
Rest please maintain discipline folks :) give space to people to put food, don't interrupt their line and let's all enjoy like gentlemen and ladies together. Wear nice clothes if possible ;) (shorts and flip flops not allowed)
I hope this...
