The food was so good that we went back another three times. We ate in twice and did take out twice since we live above and just come down and order, have a Cerveza while waiting and talk with everyone there.

By the way you definitely have to have the Shrimp Burger, it's simply amazing and outstanding. Can't even explain the flavor on those. First time in I had the single smash Burger ( amazing ) second time and the third time the Shrimp Burger ( amazing & incredible ) and fourth the Double Funk Smash Burger ( outstanding ) my brother finally had the Sushi and he loved it because it was so different with the Funky Olive Twist to it 👍👍

Definitely don't hesitate to go to the Funky Olive you simply won't be disappointed whatsoever 😃 👍 👍

We've been walking by The Funky Olive for years and years. And would always check on social media like Facebook and so on, and there was never anything updated or even what they were about.

Well the past year or so we've noticed how often they've been posting on Facebook, and all the other local Cabo sites.

And figured it definitely has to be New Owners ( indeed it is ) figured Johnny Cabo had to be one of them ( correct there as well lol )

Anyways after all these years we FINALLY stopped in and had dinner. And sure as heck glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, and the Service was outstanding ( Gabriela ) was our server and she was simply amazing and very attentive.

I had the Funk Smash Burger I know I know a burger in Cabo, but darn it was good. I got the Burger because I heard from so many people how good they are, and they most definitely were right.

My brother had the Funky Ceviche and he absolutely loved it and I had a taste as well and it was very good. He was looking forward to having some Sushi, but there wasn't any available that evening. But we will definitely be walking by again, and will ask if sushi is available this evening, and Boom will be in.

So definitely don't hesitate and walk by The Funky Olive as you won't be disappointed whatsoever. Great food and even better friendly amazing service.

Not to mention for a place being in the heart of the Marina, we thought the prices were fair.

The server was ver friendly, allowed me to sit wherever I liked. There is patio seating looking at the marina if you enjoy people watching.

They bring out complimentary nacho chips and salsa. It was nice and the salsa was great. I’m kit a huge salsa lover but I destroyed this salsa pretty quick.

Now, I’ll start by saying I eat a lot of burgers. I love them. Anytime there is an option for a smash burger with cheese and bacon, that’s what I’m getting. This burger rates in my top 10. You can have the patties cooked how you like. I went for medium. The patties were very juicy. A little thicker than a true smash patty I believe. The overall taste of the burger was great. All the flavours fit perfectly. The bacon was very flavourful unlike most cheap, flavourless bacon you find on burgers. The burger was very savoury, juicy and satisfying.

The fries were crinkle cut and well seasoned with a seasoned salt (think Lowrys or hys). Overall I fell full and happy. I came here twice to see if the first time was just a fluke, and the second time was just as great so should speak to consistency.

Overall it was a great experience. If you’re craving a good burger, you won’t (hopefully) be disappointed.

Amazing! Best dining experience we have had in Cabo and we have eaten in a fair amount of places here over the years, and all over the world. We took the tuna we caught that day and they prepared, but this is not necessary. I am sure they will make you something super delicious. Very very talented chef. The tuna was as delicious prepared raw and cooked. Eduardo the bartender, knows his stuff. Went out of his way to prepare drinks with perfection table side - Hendricks Martini as well as Mezcal drinks. Best Margarita I have had also. Poncho, the maître d, was so welcoming and gracious and had interesting stories about his years in Cabo which really brings a place alive. Such a fun night, reasonably priced and spotlessly clean. These people are passionate about what they do and it shows. Make sure to go here while in Cabo!! you will not regret it. Planning our next trip to Cabo, just so we can go here again. We only discovered this place on our last night in town or would have eaten here...
