This review is for the Parque Luis Cabrera location, although I've been to both in Roma Norte many times. I live around the corner from this place so I have visited often. The place is known for slow service and in the past year it has actually gotten better but at best is average now. They seem to have a lot of turn over with their staff so having a familiar face doesn't help at this place and the constant revolving door of employees can lead to awkward interactions. I love the ambiance/ decorations and it is a great place to sit and chat with friends as the place isn't typically packed. Recently (within the last year), they changed their menu (and possibly their management) and unfortunately it has been for the worse. They added a little side cafe/ bakery/ quick to go area to the restaurant which is nice but I had a couple of favorite pasta dishes that they removed and the new side cafe's food isn't exactly exciting. I have been slowly going through their menu to find dishes to replace them but the new menu is uninspiring and after finishing the last on my list today I can't say that any of them are as good. As far as the cost goes, it is on the slightly expensive side, but to me all pasta places are. What you are paying for is service and ambiance. Here you typically pay about $30 - 40 pesos extra for similar dishes right down the street but in not as nice of a location. This place if not for it's ambiance would be...
Read moreQuality of food/drinks not as good and service is a lot worse than at Cafe Toscano Cabrera 5 blocks away. Do yourself a favor and go there instead for a way better experience, especially if there’s a Mexican citizen in your group. Seems like they’re even more rude to them. We asked for a table inside and they told us there were no tables that could seat more than 2 people inside. We noticed there were 2 4-person tables inside which remained free the entire time we were there.
Server seemed irritated with having to interact with you whereas basically every where else you go all service people are super friendly and happy to help. (The bus boy was nice but only interacted with us briefly. Also weirdly stingy with the sugar packets. Every place I’ve been to for breakfast has left the little basket out. Here, they bring you the basket and make you take some from it and then take it back like they think you’re gonna steal it.
Got a latte and the foam was just a whole bunch of bubbles and the drink way too hot(not even Starbucks quality). At the other cafe toscano, I got a latte with perfect foam and latte art. Not a huge deal, but you can see in the little things that they don’t care as much about providing a stellar experience.
Charged extra for swapping chicken for mushrooms (which are cheaper). I ordered the same thing at the other cafe toscano and they discounted the price for doing that. The chips in my...

Personalmente, no hay mejor plan para un domingo que desayunar en este encantador café.
