As you stroll across the pristine white sands and clear blue waters of Boracay, you’re bound to encounter a series of vendors trying to persuade you to avail of their services—whether it’s land tours, parasailing, or massages. As someone who gets persuaded easily, I’m an easy target. But as someone who also likes to check reviews beforehand, I know it’s best to be intentional when choosing services. Kabayan Spa is a testament to the value of mindful booking.

While there are many available—and possibly more affordable—massage spas in Boracay, Kabayan Spa would be my only recommendation to a friend.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with well-lit spaces. The amenities were spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink before our massage. The staff were all well-trained and polite, and the receptionist spoke English fluently, which was helpful as I noticed that most of the guests were foreigners.

Before our massage, we were given a checklist to indicate our preferred intensity and focus areas, helping the masseuse tailor the experience to our needs. There was also a scent sample conveniently placed on the waiting tables, allowing us to choose the fragrance of the oils for our massage.

We got the signature massage, which was—of course—just perfect. I even dozed off for a bit because of how relaxing it was. All massage rooms had shower rooms inside, which was a nice touch, especially given that we were at the beach. The massage beds were sturdy and comfortable, enhancing the overall sense of relaxation.

Ate Diane, my masseuse, checked in on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable throughout the session. Shoutout to her for giving me such a wonderful experience! After our massage, we were served a tea of our choice.

Overall, we had a really great experience that added to our happiness in Boracay. Thank you, Kabayan Spa!...

Unequal Pricing Policy - It's puzzling that discounts are offered to one nationality, Koreans, and not extended to all other nationalities.

This SPA may be a suitable choice if you're operating within a strict budget and simply want to experience or mention that you've visited a SPA. In terms of massage quality, I found it lacking in providing any substantial relief. The overall experience felt very basic, missing the expected atmosphere and ambiance of a traditional SPA. They only offer one type of massage, a 60-minute Swedish massage, which, in my opinion, was too gentle to provide the benefits typically associated with a massage. It felt more like an application of oil rather than a proper massage session. The stretches are all fake, not a single muscle got stimulated, shame to call this a massage even.

In the end you get what you pay for.

Pros

No hassles simple SPA Economical, only P900 per person + P100 tip for 60 minutes Clean and accessible in D'Mall Professional therapists, in clean uniforms Host greeted upon arrival and thanks upon departure Served canned juice upon arrival Was easy to book through Facebook Messenger Clean washroom

Cons

Poor customer etiquette during booking process on Messenger Only one option for massage Felt like oil was applied, not really a massage No choice of oil, no fragrance Lack of a SPA feel Therapists applying oil on feet without washing or wiping and then proceeding to other parts of body. Above is a very unhygienic approach Factory like approach Basic washroom with only one toiletry Extra discount if you are Korean (Too bad we had to pay extra for not being Koreans) Basic room, at least use a diffuser to make the SPA feel like a SPA Feels more like a hospital Pillow does not have a disposable cover, nor a cloth cover, so how is this...

Exceptional Massage Experience at Kabayan Spa!

My husband and I just had a 90-minute massage at Kabayan Spa, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly at ease.

I had the pleasure of being attended to by BELLA, while my husband’s massage therapist was MARY ANN. Both were incredibly skilled, polite, and attentive to our needs, ensuring that every muscle was thoroughly worked on with just the right amount of pressure. The ambiance of the spa added to the overall relaxation, with its calming music and serene atmosphere.

One thing that truly stood out was the level of expertise and technique displayed by both therapists. My husband, who is not easily impressed when it comes to massages, was genuinely satisfied with his experience. For him to say that it was “very good” speaks volumes about the skill and knowledge of the therapists.

We left the spa feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated, and without a doubt, we’ll be coming back until our last day in Boracay. If you’re looking for a high-quality, professional, and truly relaxing massage experience, Kabayan Spa is the place to go! Highly...
