Epic Boracay — Restaurant in Malay

As a regular tourist in Boracay on an annual basis, it was no surprise that I reached out to Epic to cater & host a 60th Birthday party for 35-40 people arriving from Australia.

I reached out to Ms Abby who I have a great report with for many years. She referred me to Arisa Marketing/Events Team. After few months of planning back & forth through emails & phone calls to create & personalise menu with the chef, pricing was so affordable & logistics of organising such an event fron Australia, Arisa was amazing, the coordination even with some bumps in the road was outstanding. Our party was last Sunday 24/11/24 4-5 months in the making.

Epic staff helped me coordinate the decor on the day. What a party it was, all 35 guests are still talking about today.

The staff were professional, the food was 5 Star We orders 4 apertisers & Adobo Chicken & Pork, BBQ chicken skewers Java & Garlic rice & butter vegetables & dessert Fruit salad & icecream. The alcohol flowed just as we requested. Best cocktails in Boracay. Our guest could not stop talking about the venue food, drinks & the amazing staff. When the DJ kicked off at 9pm we danced the night away.

Thank you Epic for not letting me down & creating a place for us to celebrate such an amazing milestone of our friend Kenny. The personal touches like staff singing happy birthday with sparklers to Happy 60th Kenny on the wide screen throughout the venue, table cloths & flowers Those personal touches & attention to detail was next level, is what makes the experience so EPIC.

Highly recommend Epic not just to eat & drink but if you have a function/party there is no other place then Epic.

This was our second attempt to try this place. It's right by D-mall and off the beach in Boracay. Restaurant has a good vibe, good location and turns into a club some nights. We came here before and had the worst experience even though we didn't get to try their food. We were a group of nine last year and once seated, they didn't t attend to us even after waiting thirty minutes. Then the rain came so we left since we sat in the outdoor tables.

This second time, only a group of three, we were able to be seated right away. Gave us our menu's but we had to flag them to take our order. We sat by the bar and they could see us but didn't think after us looking at them constantly that we wanted to be served? They need to work on service.

We ordered: Daiquiri- super strong and no real flavor to it ; not for the lightweight 4 stars San Miguel light - order 2, get one free 5 stars [Happy Hour!!] 5 stars Caesar salad with bacon -I asked them to make the bacon crispy 5 stars Epic Salpicao- comes with bread but was a little salty; would have been better with rice 4 stars Beef Tapa breakfast- good 4 stars Pork bbq plate - hubs took his bro's egg to make it better - 4 stars

Place would have been better if service was on top of it. Even asking for the check took a long time. That put my stars down. Maybe if we have the time, we can try this place again but for now,...
