The absolute WORST place to eat at, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! 6 of us ate here and we all had an AWFUL time. We waited over an hour for food when there was no one here, then when it came only one at a time so by the time one person had finished the others were still waiting for ages. First of all, my brother ordered a burger and fries, it came with onion rings instead of fries even though we double checked that it came with fries, so when we asked them to change it they refused and said it only comes with onion rings. We told them no you said to change for fries, so they took the onion rings off and put this on a separate plate on another table then brought out fries and tried to get us to pay 250P extra for this!!! We said no, you said it came with fries. Anyway, my friend also had a burger but this time a beef one which is meant to come with both onion rings and fries. The fries were rock hard because they were not cooked at all, couldn't eat it them. When he asked where his onion rings were, they took the plate from the other table that had been sat there for a while outside with flies and gave him them instead of getting new ones from the kitchen - what on earth?! This is meant to be Included with the price and they give second hand food that's now cold. They were disgusting and cold he said. Anyway, then my dad ordered and paid for a Tuna Steak which was very expensive but he wanted to treat himself. They said it came with Salad, hahahaha it had 3 small pieces of cucumber for a 'salad' and for 1250 Pesos this is a joke. The tuna was over cooked and hard, very tough and not nice at all. Then our chicken soulvaki came for me and my husband. The chicken was ROCK HARD AND BURNT! We couldn't even bite the chicken it was that hard, absolutely disgusting!!!! Again our chips were not cooked at all, rock hard again. When we complained, they made excuses that the fries were 'fresh' which is why they're hard... Erm no they weren't cooked. Then they said the chicken was hard because it had no sauce, no sauce in the absolute world would make that edible it was rock hard and burnt!!! Absolutely HORRENDOUS! Then they had the cheek to ask for 10% service charge ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE! They did take a small amount off but hardly anything compared to what a terrible terrible experience!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE, THERE'S SO MANY...
Read moreMy dining experience at Kelana Restaurant in Boracay was nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance was inviting, with a perfect blend of island charm and elegant decor, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
We started our culinary journey with the grilled squid. The squid was perfectly charred, tender, and bursting with flavor. The smoky aroma complemented the subtle sweetness of the seafood, making every bite a delight.
Next up was the shrimp tempura, which truly stole the show. The shrimp were incredibly large and juicy, encased in a light, crispy batter that was fried to perfection. Each mouthful was a harmonious blend of crunchy exterior and succulent interior—a real treat for seafood lovers.
The final highlight of our meal was the tanigue sinigang. This traditional Filipino soup featured tangy flavors and tender chunks of tanigue fish, complemented by fresh vegetables. The broth was rich and savory, striking a perfect balance between sourness and depth of flavor.
Overall, Kelana provided a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. The superb quality of the dishes, combined with generous portions and reasonable prices, made it a real value for money. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a delightful meal, Kelana Restaurant is a must-visit...
Read moreWe were overcharged because we were tourists. We got charged €28 which is 1700 php for 6 pieces of prawn tempura!!! The prawn tempura was somehow not written down anywhere on a price list as they have 1 menu with prices and another without (just pictures).
Since I read the menu with the pricing list with other meals I assumed it would somewhat match the other menu. When I got the bill I could not believe the prawns on its own (6 pieces) cost more than my 2 beers, my wife's mocktail and can of coke, and our two main courses!!
When I asked to see the price list for the prawns or where they come up with this price they said it "changes everyday"!!!
This is the first meal we had in boracay and first time we have been ripped off in the Philippines. Avoid this place at all costs or you will pay triple of your...
