Planned my honeymoon trip to Boracay. Scoured the internet for weeks just looking for the perfect accommodation (I am really one for aesthetics, vibes, overall layout of space). Landed on Ondus and booked their Premier King Suite (for extra space and comfortably since my husband is a tall man). Booked DIRECTLY on their website to ensure my booking went through and received a confirmation email. Imagine me, so excited to have the perfect honeymoon, considering I spent SO MUCH of my time researching and planning, to be notified AT THE TIME of my check in that my booking did not go through due to a GLITCH in THEIR system. The manager Denis put us up in the hotel beside Ondus, Mandarin White Sand. Yes, I can accept that it was a nice gesture as they were trying to make things right… but Mandarin White Sand is NOT the same. They put us up in their “Sky Suite” which should be their best one, but everything is literally run down, worn out, balcony has a view of construction, the room is insanely small compared to the one I Initially booked with Ondus. It is roughly half the square footage of the one I booked with Ondus. My husband literally tripped and fell in the middle of the night. He has now hurt his wrist, mind you, he is a professional musician and playing music is his livelihood. This was caused by this bench sitting at the foot of our bed and the lack of square footage (very minimal space to walk around). Colour scheme is giving dark brown and corporate and not the fun tropical vibes I was hoping for. And on top of that, Denis was committed to making it known that apparently this suite he put us up in costs MORE than the one that I initially booked with Ondus, and they will cover the outstanding cost. I’m in disbelief at this point because… how does this run down place cost more? The only saving grace with Mandarin White Sand is that the staff have been kind and lovely. To add insult to injury, he said “ it’s not our fault per se, as it was an issue with our third party”. I am aware that third parties are often glitchy, which is why I booked DIRECTLY with their Ondus website. So make it make sense. Overall, this entire experience has been crappy. I am especially more frustrated now that my husband fell and hurt himself, when I did everything I could do to book a larger room to ensure his...
Read moreAbsolutely perfect, couldn’t ask for more! We stayed at Ondus Boracay Resort (Beachfront) from June 20–23, 2025, as a family of 8 (including 1 child and 1 senior), and it was such a beautiful experience. I’ve been meaning to write this review sooner, but life got busy—still, this place was so memorable that I couldn’t let it go without sharing.
We booked two rooms—one welcomed us with a personalized family greeting on the TV screen, and the other had the sweetest birthday message for me. Such thoughtful details really set the tone for our stay.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with cold towelettes, refreshing drinks, and in-room treats that came with a sweet letter. The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive to every request. Even the security guards were kind enough to assist with our tricycle rides every time we had to run errands.
The resort was still in its soft opening, so everything felt fresh, new, and very well-maintained. The swimming pool was beautiful and, since we booked a signature room, we could access it right through our sliding door—such a relaxing perk!
As a beach lover, I truly appreciated that they provided beach mats free to use, along with toys for the kids, which made our beach time extra fun and easy.
Breakfast was also a highlight—delicious and with plenty of variety from Western to Filipino dishes. “Kuya” (the middle-aged man) who served us was so kind and made our mornings even more enjoyable. There was a minor mix-up with the number of complimentary breakfasts on the first day, but it was resolved right away the next morning.
Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. They required a security deposit, but it was refunded right after check-out without any issues.
Overall, Ondus Boracay exceeded our expectations. From the thoughtful touches and friendly staff to the beachfront location and new, beautiful amenities—this stay was truly memorable. Highly...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days, and all I have are praises for their outstanding service. Shoutout to Lee, Jen, Jenny, Gelhan, Vincci, Jeff, the security team, and the breakfast service staff—you all made our stay extra special!
Here’s why I love this hotel:
Family-friendly environment – The hotel is a 3-story building with an elevator. Family rooms are conveniently located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool.
Great pool amenities – There's a 4 ft. deep pool with free dry towels and attentive pool security. I even felt comfortable asking the staff to occasionally keep an eye on my kids.
Beautiful beachfront entrance – The hotel has a welcoming and open layout with a clean, modern design.
Peaceful location – Situated in a less crowded area of Boracay with fewer people and less green algae. It's also close to the port, which is perfect for island hopping.
Spacious and aesthetic rooms – Rooms are roomy, beautifully designed, and come with balconies for added comfort and relaxation.
A few things to consider: If you’re someone who enjoys parties, nightlife, or staying close to D’Mall, this place might feel a bit far. It’s a short walk from the main hustle and bustle of Boracay’s party scene—but if you don’t mind walking a few minutes, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Note: The hotel is currently in its soft opening phase. While a plated breakfast is available, their in-house restaurant isn’t fully operational yet. Fortunately, 7-Eleven, Andok’s, and other dining options are just a short walk away.
Extras: they even offered a simple in-room surprise greeting for my mother's 80th Birthday! Thank you Ondus! also welcome treats in your room awaits with...
