We were very excited when our holiday consultant, Cesar "CC" Carbonel, gave us a free gift certificate voucher for being a member of Astoria Philippines. At first, we planned to book in Malaysia; however, due to our hectic schedule, we just booked our vacation in Astoria, Palawan. Both of us are very excited to go there since, when we saw it on their website, we were so amazed by the beautiful place. We booked our stay there for 3 days (June 29–July 1). (Good thing that the weather at that time is good ☺️). Upon entering their 8-hectare resort (yes, it is really big 😍), we started to be amazed by the place. By the way, from the airport, Astoria offered us a shared van transfer because we were only three going to their resort (1000 per head, two way already; our kid is free☺️). Upon entering their resort, we were amazed by one of their resort lobbys, in which one of their staff greeted us with a pleasant smile and even gave us a souvenir necklace with matching welcome drinks and bibingka (it tasted good ❤️). We were also amazed by the interior design of their lobby (the design is so aesthetic and unique). After we had finished in the lobby, one of their staff members accompanied us to our room. The look of their room is so nice, spacious, and family-oriented. Inside our room, we had twin queen-size beds, a refrigerator, a TV, an open cabinet, a microwave oven, and a sink (yes, they have a sink in the room aside from their bathroom). This is very helpful, especially for us mothers, who no longer go to the bathroom just to wash the feeding bottles. Going back to their microwave oven, it is also useful to us since we used it to reheat our leftover food from our dine-in with their restaurant. By the way, the price of their food is fair enough with the serving since, per order, it is good for 2 to 3 people already. Inside Astoria Palawan, they have a restaurant where you can dine in or just order food to be delivered to your room. They also offered a buffet with so many dishes. While having your dinner or just having a chilling night, you can also listen to their acoustic band (promise! the voice of the singer is so beautiful ❤️). Right after their acoustic band comes next are the fire dancers☺️. One good thing about their restaurant is that there is a big pool in front of which you can also go swimming or with your kids while eating😍. This is good because it will not be hard for me to monitor my kid while at the same time enjoying your food and ambiance. By the way, we stayed at Alcove Villa, where it is only a few steps to the restaurant and beach. ☺️ On our second day, we went to Sandbar, where we also enjoyed our stay. After the sandbar, we also went to their famous wetpark, which we really enjoyed because of the many activities there. We also tried their playroom and entertainment room, which is also one of their amenities that we really enjoyed most. Our 3 days in Astoria, Palawan, are not enough since we have not yet tried their other amenities and activities due to a lack of time. But I can say that our vacation to Astoria, Palawan, is worth it, and I have all the reasons to come back and bring my other kids. I must say that Astoria Palawan is not just a vacation place for enjoyment but also a place in which you will feel that you are part of their family because of their staff, who are so accommodating, friendly, helpful, respectful, and cheerful to all of their guests. I want to give special credit and appreciation to Cesar "CC" Carbonel for convincing me and my husband to be members of Astoria. We didn't regret it because it was worth it. And if you find yourself interested, then you can try to coordinate with my mentioned holiday consultant on his Facebook page (Cesar CC Carbonel). Sharing also some of our pictures during our stay in Astoria, Palawan...
Read moreHi Everyone! Today is July 31,2023 and We had recently had a trip to Palawan specifically Puerto Princesa (July 16-18, 2023) and We Stayed here at ASTORIA PALAWAN.. the rest is memories..
We had a great time with my family here at ASTORIA PALAWAN using our membership at AVLCI. During our arrival at the resort we are welcomed with smiles from the employees and interns. They have assisted us until we checked in.
The resort has a relaxing ambiance to it. That the oldies will surely enjoy. Complete amenities is a plus! They have a variety of pool areas to swim in (infinity pool) and the Water Park, and the resort is on the beach front ( I enjoy walking at the shoreline during morning). They have activities like Biking,Kayaking, and paddle boarding.. they also have family interactive rooms where you can play board games, indoor sports and karaoke. You can also add the food at their restaurant 100% and it tastes good! We dined here for dinner buffet and early breakfast. During the dinner there is a Live Band and Fire Dance show. Don't forget that there is also a BAR on the resort where you can dance and drink. The transport services are amazing you can ask them to pick you up on your room using the e-cars.
Room Review: Definitely exceeded our expectations 100% 5 stars 10/10!!! Room service is very attentive. The interior design is pleasing to our eyes. It has a private vibe like you are the only people on the resort because of exclusivity.
Tours: No need to worry if you are looking for tours or you haven't booked one. The resort has a Tours Desk where you can inquire and book a tour with Van Service. I think the prices are reasonable and very much the same on the market.
Port Barton Tour: Exclusivity at its best!!! Not crowded in which you will enjoy the smell of the fresh air, sound of waves, coconut tree swinging.. not to mention the pure sand at the beach.
Under Ground River: Is a must tour if you're a first timer at Palawan, before you go to El Nido and Coron. Feel the wonder of the world!
Pasalubong/Souvenirs: You can ask the van driver to drop you on the souvenir shop near the airport before your flight.. here's a tip, the souvenir shops near the airport (outside) are cheaper than those in the tourist spot areas. Also, cashew nuts are cheaper at the roadside if you see one.
Overall experience: Definitely will recommend this to my close friends and family. Our experience here at ASTORIA PALAWAN is memorable as this is our first trip outside Luzon together with my family. We will definitely come back here. (Baka naman freebies or anything)
All in all I just wanna leave it here.. "Just Go/Visit and be Amazed!" No other explanations. Just experience! Memories for keeps for sure. Treasure every moment with your loved ones! Travel more!
I would like to thank the staff and employees who assisted us during our stay. Hi owner of AVLCI kudos to your staff!! Bonus!! Also to our AVLCI consultant Sir GIL SARMIENTA who always welcome our queries and questions. Thank you sir! Sa uulitin!

Read moreThank you Astoria for making our stay very memorable! We booked them because we wanted an all inclusive feel and we thought Astoria delivered! They had a weight room, a private beach and multiple swimming pools. You can rent their bikes, standing paddle boards and canoes with no extra fees. Sadly, we aren’t able to try the boats because it was low tide when we decided to do some water activities. The rooms and the entire facility were chick, clean and inviting. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff on arrival. They provided us with shell lays which reminds me of the Hawaiian flower lays they gave their guests on arrivals. Oliver was first to welcome us into our rooms, he oriented us on where things are located around the facility. He was friendly and down to earth and he hook us up with free buffet dinners. We sure appreciated the gestures! The rest of the staff are overall friendly, they greeted us whenever we passed by them. Sometimes we felt bad for not greeting them back but again props to management for making friendliness a priority. The food especially the breakfast buffet was great. There were plenty of dishes to trial and enjoy.
Some of the cons were the patchy internet connection, we were told the entire island was experiencing the same thing. No other options for restaurants since they only have 1 restaurant for the entire hotel. Lack of variety makes food options a bit scares. There is also a lack of communication when it comes to what act is performing that evening at the restaurant. Some of the staff at the front don’t seem to know what kind of act or when the act will be shown. I would highly suggest a prompter with a list of things to do during the day including the shows available and their times. Also a couple of times our key cards got deactivated this could be related to the patchy internet as well.
Although these cons were minor issues. Overall, we had a great relaxing stay and we will definitely...
