Slow orders, the order takers are kinda programmed to max out on your orders including bottled water, and are kinda troubled looking. I ordered tapa king, add egg, add pakbet, add coffee, add bottled water. Total bill is 284php. The price could afford you a lot of better meals in higher end restos. The tapsi taste is ordinary. The rice volume is filling. Feels like a 1 1/2 to 2 cups. The pakbet tastes bland, but i got decently cooked veggies. The eggs are small, but not over or under cooked. The suka is tasty but not acidic. The place is dimly lit. Not so noticeable from the outside. Feels like an old car accessories store. But one good thing to add also is that you have a quieter meal time as compared to busy restos especially during lunch/dinner break because of it being an unpopular choice. I got my fill, not so busy meal. As a food destination, not so likeable. Interesting deserts though. And a plus...
Read moreToday was the first time to visit again after their renovations. We used to frequent this place at least once a month. They are trying level up the place -- servers take your order instead of the previous way where you order over the counter ala fast food style. Trying is the emphasis. We came as a group where they took my orders first but my food was the last to come out and only because I kept following when it wil come out and how many mins will it take. And then they screw up the order because my additional order was not prepared. They were saying it was out of stock but I remember the server confirming if it is available. Tapa king is still delicious but the Change in service they are trying implement is horrendous. Servers are not well trained, manager is not well trained. I'll be thinking twice coming to this branch. Need to find a new branch to get my...
Read moreThis review dated Dec 14 2021. FORMERLY along Pioneer street the branch is now located at one corner of the Phoenix gasoline station that's being put up at the corner of Shaw Blvd and Pioneer St. The same crew man's the store. The marked disadvantage is the limited parking as there is only one slot fronting it. There are two more beside it but expectedly these are shared by the different restaurants. The food remains the same but the prices has steadily gone up. Expect to pay 189 pesos for an order. The new place is better. Gone are the American cafeteria like tables and seating. In its place are new ones spread over a larger floor area. Now there is a dedicated area for delivery food riders. The Comfort room with a male urinal and now a wash area is a definite plus. Except for the flies that manage to enter it would have...
