Black Pavilion Restaurant — Restaurant in Lisbon

We had dinner at the restaurant while staying at the hotel. The place is really nice and pretty, the atmosphere is very cozy. The food, however, was not that special. I ordered one of the very few vegetarian options (creamy barley) and it was just a soupy, creamy and overly salted barley with a couple of tomato and pumpkin (?) pieces. My partner ordered the cod and it was also nothing very special. However, we really enjoyed the dessert (brioche). The service was also a bit weird. We made a reservation for two and when we arrived we asked if we could sit at the edge of the terrace, even though only tables for 4 pax were available. They said it was not possible, because they were waiting for bigger groups so that is why we had to sit in the middle of the terrace in a table for two. We totally understood and just sat in the table for two, the view was still amazing. However, throughout our stay, a couple of this tables were occupied by groups of two without any comment or anything coming from the service… which of course made us feel a bit dismissed. Additionally, our server was just not very attentive and forgot a couple of things from our order, which we would not have expected from a nice restaurant like this.

All in all, it is worth it for the view, the drinks, the atmosphere and that’s it :) I wouldn’t expect the greatest service or the most delicious...

I had a very unfriendly experience in this restaurant. All the employees were very friendly in guiding us and greeting us. Since we entered the restaurant around 4:10 yesterday, there were no customers in the restaurant at that time. There were only two of us , my mother and I. guest. We were very excited to come to this Google restaurant and wanted to dine. Since it was windy in Lisbon and we were afraid of rain, the considerate staff brought us a table indoors. Todos os funcionários foram muito simpáticos em nos orientar e cumprimentar. Como entrámos no restaurante por volta das 16h10, não havia clientes no restaurante àquela hora. Éramos apenas dois, a minha mãe e eu. Estávamos muito entusiasmados por vir a este restaurante do Google e queríamos jantar. Como estava muito vento em Lisboa e tínhamos medo de chuva, os atenciosos funcionários trouxeram-nos uma mesa no interior. Todos os funcionários sorriram, exceto um homem, que parecia ser um supervisor. Não foi muito simpático connosco, o meu pressentimento era que não queria que nos sentássemos dentro de casa (dentro de casa), e com certeza disse à sua equipa numa língua que não entendíamos (português) e depois a sua equipa disse-nos que só nos podíamos sentar do lado de fora, a minha ideia é. Este homem, que parecia ser um supervisor, não explicou imediatamente aos clientes porque é que não podíamos fazer refeições no interior, mas depois disse-nos que só nos podíamos sentar à mesa do bar. Fez-nos sentir muito rudes, e senti que um restaurante estava aberto durante esse período. Porquê? Não houve fecho em todo o restaurante, e por isso pedi a alguém para ir ao bar quando não queria ir buscar os convidados. Estávamos a jantar, não a ir ao bar, então porque é que eu deveria ir ao restaurante? Acho que todos os funcionários deste restaurante são muito simpáticos. É realmente inimaginável que o supervisor do sexo masculino trate os hóspedes com tal atitude. Por isso não recomendo vivamente jantar neste...
