Aqua Lounge — Attraction in Doha

Came here to enjoy some Shisha. The bubble gum flavour tasted like rubber balloons mixed with toothpaste.

I had a Marriott employee in my group. We called the place prior to coming to confirm if shisha specifically was included in the 40% employee discount and were told it is. Upon paying the cheque, we were informed tobacco products are not discounted. We wouldn't have come to this lounge if we weren't certain that we'd be getting a discount on exactly what we wanted (we always check discounts for exactly what we'll be ordering).

In the end we had to pay the full price. Lots of distrust towards the management. The supervisor we were talking to seemed panicked at our request to identify the hostess that gave us the false information. It took over half-hour for him to get back to us, making it seem like some cover-up was taking place. Poor customer experience and sub-par shisha quality.

If you're new in Doha and its skyline still has a "wow" factor for you, I guess you can make your way over to this terrace. In any other case I would not...

I had the worst experience at this place , the service was so so bad, our order was taken three times repeatedly, every time we ask about our order, they tell us to repeat the order again, we spent 1 and half hour waiting for our food to be served. Even when we ordered a bottle of water it took them 30 minutes to serve it! I saw the waiter crying sometimes not sure what was wrong. I visited this place many times before and the service was perfect, it’s just I’m surprised to the level it has reached to. I’m worried about what image the tourists will get about this place if they continue in this level. The restaurant manager told us the private rooms can only be reserved for a minimum of 5 people , but we saw many rooms with 2 people only!
