This is a place I had high expectations from, as the chef is Roland (ex Baracca). We ordered burger, fries with telemea, fish roe and their roasted chicken. The fries were, without exaggeration, the worst fries we ve ever had: soggy, burnt, oily, unseasoned and not fresh. The burger had a “cheap” tasting truffle sauce which probably had 0% truffles in it and only artificial flavouring. The chicken was unseasoned as well, a lot of salt needed, dry meat and the sauce was curdled. The fish roe and bread were ok. On top of this we ordered a lemonade which tasted like it was made from some artificial syrup and flavour instead of just fresh lemon juice? I find this place a tourist trap, with extremely high prices, super low quality and bad food. Read moreUnfortunately I left disappointed. We went for dinner, 2 persons. The atmosphere is very cozy, great design, friendly young staff. We had brisket as appetizer. The meat was great, also the thin layer of sauce it had on it; the homemade mustard had a very nice colour, yet the taste was bland, it tasted more like water, the slice of bread was nice and fresh, but it had been previously soaked a bit in oil or lard, and I don’t know why, since the meat had enough fat. As main dishes we had their famous schnitzel. Interesting twist on the traditional dish, but way too oily! The french fries were a bit too fried, on the verge of being burnt. The oxtail stew with mashed potatoes came cold.
I’ve seen these two complaints among the other reviews, the schintzel being too oily and food coming cold.
I was curious to have their beef tartare, but will not be coming back. Not worth the time,...
Read moreMancarea - Mancare scumpa pentru ceea ce e si portii dezechilibrate. Am mancat cu o prietena, ea gnocchi iar eu “ce vrea bucatarul” ceea ca insemna in ziua respectiva limba de vita in sos de drojdie cu chives si salata de cartofi cu ciuperci si maioneza. Am inteles ca portia de gnocchi desi a fost buna, a fost calduta doar si parea o portie chiar foarte mica pentru main course. Limba de vita cu sos de drojdie, chives si salata de cartofi a fost insa un preparat care nu ar fi trebuit sa exista in felul acesta. Pe langa faptul ca costa 94 lei si de banii astia nici macar nu te poti bucura de un plating corect (carnea pe farfurioara de metal stil cantina - si nu ma refer la cantinele din austria de exemplu, daca tot era un fel de salata de cartofi dishul, garnish nu exista). Gustul a fost sub medie. Carnea ok, dar disproportional de multa pentru acel side. Sideul nu avea niciun gust din pacate, avand in vedere ca era cartofi cu ciuperci (shimeji cred) si maioneza doar, ii lipsea grav ceva vlaga, gen sare, ceapa, zeama de lamaie, orice sa echilibreze putin gustul, eu nu imi dau seama cum bucatarul a dat OK-ul pentru asa ceva. Intr-adevar puteam salva cu putina sare situatia, dar nu aveam solnita pe masa si a fost mai greu sa “prind” imediat un ospatar sa ii cer niste sare. De altfel am zis parerea mea despre mancare si la restaurant, niciun raspuns in afara de “da?!”, nu vreau sa par asa critica doar online. Tiramisu Baracca - ceea ce trebuia sa fie showstopperul in mod clar facand referirea la tiramisu indragit de toata lumea din epoca Baracca, a fost o dezamagire totala. La pretul de 46 lei per borcan, in mod clar nu era un desert foarte proaspat, nici macar foarte aromat. A fost average din pacate, prea putin semanand cu acel tiramisu faimos de altadata (sau poate nu imi mai aduc eu aminte, se prea poate).
Servirea - Stafful umbla destul de mult ba cu lavete ba cu cutii de plastic pe langa mese, incercau sa le ascunda, in mod clar nefiind firesc nici pentru ei ce se intampla. Inteleg conceptul de braserie si asa se explica contextul mai lejer, uniformele super casual, dar ceva nu se pupa aici, de exemplu, daca nu ai de gand sa reactionezi in vreun fel daca un client vine cu feedback la mancare, de ce mai vii pe la masa sa intrebi?
Atmosfera - dragut, dar din pacate celelalte aspecte ma determina sa nu mai revin in curand.
Nu cred ca merita banii si timpul si caloriile din pacate, mi-as dori ca data viitoare cand aleg sa revin sa fie niste...
