Three of us did two games in two days - Sherlock and The Magic School. For those new to the experience, "escape the room" games require you to literally escape the room in a set time (usually one hour) by solving a series of themed puzzles, the final one of which opens the exit door.
First of all, I want to thank the hosts - in these challenging times, they manage to keep the fun flowing, despite the pandemic. Island Phobia is up and running - and we hope they get through these times safe and sound!
The puzzles were fantastic - they are intellectually stimulating, fun and fit for all ages. This was my third experience with escape rooms. I'm also a big fan of adventure games and we run a treasure hunt league in London, so the genre isn't entirely new to us. These puzzles tickle your every sense (literally!!), they are quite logical and require out-of-the-box thinking and good teamwork. The whole game mechanism works smoothly (which is another compliment to the hosts, given how much effort it requires to thoroughly test it!) - and "under the hood" each room is connected to 100+ computers. This is really a very high-tech place!
If you are stuck (something that we did more often than we are prepared to admit!) - just raise you hand or as you help and you will be given a subtle hint. The hosts monitor your progress and make sure your gameplay is fun. If you run our of time (which, to my shame, our team did twice!) you will still be allowed to finish and you won't feel any pressure (apart from your own team, of course!).
A word about the design - all rooms are creatively decorated and themed according to the game. Without giving too much away, there are many elements of the design that you need to carefully investigate, some are digital. Creators certainly have a sense of style! As I mentioned, all pieces are working smoothly together.
The games are available in Spanish, English and Russian, some also available in German.
Overall, it's a great experience whether you're out on holiday with friends, if you are a family with kids or just a couple. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who is willing to go beyond the usual evening of dining out and pub crawls.
We will definitely go again next time we are in Tenerife. We look forward to seeing the new rooms with even more stimulating puzzles...

We’ve done FOUR escape rooms here in Tenerife – I came with my girlfriend, her parents, and her brother – and while the rooms themselves are amazing, we were VERY disappointed with how the discount system works (or doesn’t work).
The first time we came, we did Dragon’s Ring, and we loved it so much we came back the next day to do Harry Potter. Everything was perfect: the puzzles, the decoration, the staff – even gave us a 10% discount for coming back. 5/5 easily.
A few months later, when we came back to Tenerife, we asked if we could use the 15% discount they promised us for doing a third room, but they said too much time had passed. Fine – we still did the Sherlock Holmes room and enjoyed it a lot.
But THEN we booked the Horror Room, our 4th room, and did it at 9:30 PM. After we finished, we were told the 10% discount doesn’t apply at that time. NO ONE had told us that before – not in person, not online, not anywhere. We would’ve gladly booked at another time if we had known. It felt very unfair and left a bad taste after such a good experience.
So here’s my message to other customers: THE ROOMS ARE GREAT – BUT ASK VERY CLEARLY ABOUT THE DISCOUNT BEFORE YOU BOOK. They won’t apply it unless it’s in some hidden time range that they don’t even tell you about!
Disappointed with the lack of transparency, but still giving 5/5 for the rooms themselves. The quality is excellent – just be prepared to fight for any deal you...

We've been on vacation in Costa Adeje with some time to spare inbetween our trips, so we decided to try out the Sherlock room with 2 people. It was an overwhelming experience, so we came back for some more during our stay (Nightmare, Jumanji, and Bank Robbery).
These rooms were the best rooms we've played until now. They really fitted their themes and provided a great immersion, all with different puzzles and creative mechanisms with a good range in difficulty. For some of the puzzles, teamwork really is necessary.
The staff is exceedingly friendly, and helpful in case you get stuck at some point. We got a thorough explanation before entering the room and some pictures with props of our choosing after finishing it, which we received promptly on the same evening in our mails.
You should come focussed though, especially for the more difficult rooms, as it can be easy to get sidetracked (especially in Jumanji, this room can really eat away your time if played with only 2 people). Although you will get some leeway with the timer, so even if you run into overtime (I guess some 20-30 minutes at most?) you still can enjoy and finish the room.
Greetings and thanks to Aly, Irina and Dmitry, we had...
