Wanted to get something quick after a long week of skiing and chose this restaurant a block away from the hotel on a fairly busy Saturday night. The cafe is fairly small and cozy with an outdoor area, but I was able to get seated right away.
The owners are Japanese and I was able to exercise my limited vocabulary although French and English would have been fine. They have a small menu and I settled on a Chicken Ramen and some chicken yakitori (skewers) appetizers. I probably should have got something lighter as I wasn't feeling great but defaulted to familiar dishes.
The yakitori were huge and came with a very, very nice teriyaki sauce. They also provided a sprinkle of mild red chili powder on the side which was excellent on top of the chicken.
The ramen had a rich chicken broth, plenty of toppings, and delicious noodles. The vegetable toppings included lotus root with some ginger - which was very different but all good.
Overall the service was very friendly and I highly recommend stopping by for some authentic...

Every dish at this Japanese restaurant feels like a small piece of art. The ramen had a rich, deeply umami broth, perfectly cooked egg, and a variety of toppings that completely won me over from the first sip. Tender slices of meat, fresh bean sprouts, crunchy seaweed, and that cute pink naruto everything was in its place. 🍜💖
The gyoza were juicy, with delicate wrappers and a refined sauce that balanced the flavors perfectly. I especially loved the green ones — not only are they incredibly photogenic, but their taste is bright and fresh. 🥟✨
And the yakitori? So tender, with a caramelized glaze and a subtle sweet-savory finish -pure joy! 🍢🔥
The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy yet stylish. You just want to stay longer and savor every detail.

Read moreI went to Omusubi Cafe while staying in Geneva for the 1st weekend in September. My tour ended with my alumni association and I was on my own in Geneva for the weekend. I was looking for a good food option and I found it with Omusubi Cafe. The food was delicious and the server he is a French gentleman he is the primary server there was friendly and helpful. The service he provided was excellent and being from New York I have experienced really good Japanese food. Omusubi exceeded my expectations! I enjoyed it so much I went there twice during my 3 day stay. I appreciated how nice the French gentleman was unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was so nice he even gave me some dessert as an extra. If I am ever back in Geneva I will definitely...
