Skywings Paragliding Interlaken — Attraction in Interlaken

I went paragliding with instructor Reto. Unfortunately, I didn't get the best experience as I wanted. When the company picked me and my brother up and we drove to the place where we will be paragliding, there was another instructor that was mentioning how the instructor will ask us first if we want to do random stunts in the air. When we arrived, Reto was setting up the parachute, I was left awkwardly standing there with no instructions from Reto on what to do, while I observed other instructors happily engaging with their partners and giving morale boosts like high fives and having their partners assist the instructor with setting up and positionings. When we began paragliding again it was awkward silence even though I tried to engage in friendly small talks with Reto, he would give me one word monotone responses. My first question to him and I get a deep breath in response. I also bought the photos and videos package but yet in total I only got around 20 photos (lots of them the same angle) and two videos which I felt wasn't worth it. Near the end of the paraglide Reto never asked if I wanted to do the stunts so he began recording and then did multiple stunts, I felt very nauseous but thankfully I adjusted to it quickly but again I was told different during the car ride. Then when we landed, again barely much engagement from Reto when I began walking away he then says "oh wait come back I forgot I got something for you" even though I was standing beside him the whole time after the landing. When my brother finished his paragliding a few minutes later, I had more engagements and conversations with my brother's instructor in a span of five minutes then with Reto. Overall, paragliding was fun since it was my first time but the one-on-one interactions...

I went with my family and flew with Remy. We met at the meet up point and then was taken by van to Beatenberg. During the trip, a pilot explained what we were going to do and some safety guidelines. We booked the 8am slot. The weather was beautiful and the views over the lake was so clear. There was a short hike from where the drop off point was down to where the take off point was. Chatted a bit with remy and he said to walk slowly because there was no rush :) I was fortunate that I was able to take off during my first try. The wind was just right. But my companions had to do a second try and some weren't able to fly at all.. Remy was so accommodating and knew what he was doing. I asked him about how he started paragliding and how long it took him to learn. We talked when we were flying. He also did a few stunts and turns. We also got the picture and video package and he took so many nice pictures of us in the air. I felt safe and comfortable and he kept asking if I was okay after the wind became stronger. We also landed at another landing area because the wind started picking up. The landing was pretty smooth although I did fall down. After the flight, he even gave me some suggestions of what to do in the area looked at the train schedule for me, the best route to go and what food to eat (cultivated local fish). I was picked up by the van driven by Rebecca! And went back to the city center. My brother was dizzy and remy offered to buy him water and a banana. So sweet! It's truly a dream up there flying over the lakes and mountains. Definitely a memorable and enjoyable experience. Get pilot Remy. He is very accommodating and warm and good...
