It is a shame that this experience was such a let down. I cannot fault the staff or the location nor can I fault the choice of soft or alcoholic beverages however, when booked for a special occasion my family were devastated because the venue had been informed over 2 months in advance that all but 2 in the party were vegetarians. Unfortunately it transpired, all veggie options had been discarded due to a breakdown of the freezer that stored the veggie stocks. I sympathise with the venue that this was beyond their control but I fail to understand why the organisers of the 21st Birthday Party were not informed, bearing in mind the breakdown had happened long before our advanced booking. Suffice to say the evening was ruined for my Grandson however, we returned to my house and ordered in takeaway pizza and curry for individuals along with using our own shop bought drinks. In short, the evening was saved, we all enjoyed our food, a family get together and inexpensive liquid refreshments. My Grandson will definitely remember his 21st, the cost was minimal, The BT lost a substantial financial input for a Monday night and in addition have lost several customers for the future. A simple message written or verbal would have avoided all the inconvenience and prevented...

This place is excellent and I thoroughly recommend it when I was little I always thought that people who lived under a bridge were trolls and they waited for the three Billy Goats Gruff to go over the bridge and then the troll will come out of the bridge and say to the three Billy Goats Gruff where are you going I would like to eat you for my lunch and the three Billy Goats Gruff would but the troll and the troubled fall off the bridge back into the river when I went to this cafe I could not find any troll and in fact I could not find the bridge where the three Billy Goats Gruff would be Crossing and I said to the person who was that do you know where I can find the three Billy Goats Gruff and they said to me I'm sorry but I don't know what you are talking about and I said the three Billy Goats are the three who cross over the bridge when the troll tries to eat them and the person said to me that they have never seen a troll let alone three Billy Goats and I said all that is very strange because they crossed over and they say to the troll that they don't want to be eaten and the person said that they have never seen any talking Billy Goats in their life and I think that's that is very unusual because when I was little Billy Goats would talk so people...

This is a favourite pub for us but the food today was bad and we won't visit again until the management changes. There was a special/limited Monday menu on offer with no option for the usual pretty good menu but we found something to order from the short list. We ordered two 'half a chicken and chips with salad' and one macaroni cheese. The chicken was warm on the outside, cold in the middle and very chewy so I was worried about food poisoning; it was lucky we had our dog with us as she ate most of it and is immune to the dodgy meat so obviously left over from yesterday's Mothers' Day menu. The chips were OK but drowned in yesterday's warm gravy - which was not expected, but they were just about edible. The salad turned out to be a plate of yesterday's mixed vegetables that were very soft and barely warm: completely inedible. The macaroni cheese was OK but bland. The waitress asked us how the food was so I told her and she said she'd get the manager. 10 minutes later, the waitress, apologetic, was back but with no manager who was obviously busy with something more important. The waitress offered us a bill reduction equivalent to £15 which we accepted with some reluctance as we were...

We only went here for drinks haven already eaten earlier in the day. This pub marks the final stop on the trip advisor mystery day/pub crawl to solve the mystery of Nelson missing diamond! Great way to learn about the history and discover pubs. This place is easily missed as it is tucked right out of the way at the end of a tiny harbour. But it is full of charm. A proper old school pub inside brims with personality and character. Outside you get to sit right by the waters edge and see many various fishing boats coming and going. Good looking menu and the food that came out to other tables looked amazing! Will def be heading back here soon to try out the steak feast for 2! Because it is a little more out of the way than the other 2 pubs at the end of spice Island it means it isn't as jam packed either which was actually pretty nice too!

It's worth the journey to the edge of Old Portsmouth to have a great pint in this pub. Right on the quayside, this Fullers Pub is fabulously historic; if only walls could speak! Like all Fullers Pubs the beer is top quality (my favourite is London Pride). The authenticity of the interior is atmospheric; you can imagine the generations of Royal Navy sailors propping up the bars. The food is good and the menu is really varied. The local fresh Crab is a MUST TRY. There is parking on street in the area leading up to the pub and a party and display carpark just behind it. Good seating indoors and outside.

It's lovely place with good location and lovely atmosphere. Dogs friendly. Good drinks. We ordered few dishes: Scallops (grilled) absolutely amazing, Mediterranean platter- just ok, Haddock - recommended but grilled Turbot we had not worthy a penny, not grilled at all, cold and served with cold vegetables. 4* for staff who sorted it out and offered another dish. We ordered two fillet steak burgers and hmmm described as "med rare only" so I belive not justly for us.
