Six of us went here on Saturday evening. Pompey was rammed, so we went slightly further out. The guy behind the bar was absolutely great. He's one of those, these days, a rare touch, who can take six drinks orders and remember them correctly. This in itself would have made me post this review. But there's more. I hadn't even had a drink before we arrived. We moved tables early, and unknown to me, I 'misplaced ' my jacket. As we went to leave, I resigned myself to the fact that it was lost and I might have a chilly evening. But a friend asked behind the bar...... They'd only gone and hung it on the coat rack! Superb bar snacks, piano in tune, seats worn over the years, pub bric-a-brac and near to historic cathedral, seafront and old Portsmouth.
