Ah yes, Walmart... Aberdeen’s crown jewel of retail simply because… well, it's there. When your only other options are Safeway or driving to another town, this place starts to look like a palace of possibilities. Need groceries, socks, a fishing pole, and a slightly haunted vibe under fluorescent lighting? Waknart’s got you covered.
Now, don’t expect too much... this store delivers the bare minimum with true Olympic-level consistency. The clothes section screams “last-minute camping trip,” and the food options are a love letter to beige. It’s like they made a checklist of “things a Walmart should legally have,” and then said, “Good enough.”
The staff? A mixed bag of “overworked saint” and “why are you talking to me?” Some folks are genuinely helpful and deserve medals. Others act like you've just asked them to donate a kidney when you inquire about where the lightbulbs are.
But hold up. credit where credit’s due: the bakery is the unsung hero here. I went in expecting sad donuts and came out spiritually moved by custom cakes that could be in a museum (or at least a really fancy Pinterest board). The cake decorators are true artists trapped in a corporate frosting prison. Talk to them. Order a cake. Bask in the one part of Waknart that feels like it was touched by angels.
In short...go for the basics, stay for the baked goods, and prepare to lower your expectations, just not your...

Read moreAberdeen is the worst place I have ever been People are rude, the workers on the jobs, don't seem to care, the city is dirty, and filled full of mosquitos, fallow that all the way to Grayland, Westport, yes beach but to camp or live better be able to use constant sprays, to keep from getting eaten alive. Now if ya want to die visit Gray's Harbor Hospital, This facility literally!!! you may not walk away from. Worst hospital in the world, They need to start fresh with staff that care more about the patient then going home, or if a patient can afford to pay for there poor quality care. If you want to help the homeless by offering them work forget it, they get welfare, ssi for what? To stand at a concert every day begging? If they can stand and get free money then why work? I help many homeless, but giving the same ones offers to work on no We can not do that, yes I care yes I feed them yes God finds them shelter for those that come to him. God also feeds in ways we cannot. But in this area no one cares except for one's self. I could go on and on, but people must want change and must want to clean up the city's around them by helping one another, not just by giving, Keep your money offer them a day job and reward them, think of what one...
