This place is so great!! Everything is made fresh to order. The ladies behind the counter were so welcoming and friendly. They made some amazing suggestions that we would have not typically sought out to get. When we walked in, the girl at the counter was putting fresh chocolate crunch banana muffins out. I instantly got one and it was so delicious. It had a great crunchy top with a soft, moist bottom and center. I also needed a boost of energy but wasn't up for coffee. I noticed they had a caramel apple red bull and she suggested to get the sugar free redbull so it isn't as sweet. It was amazingly delicious. My sister and I then chose some breakfast croissant sammys. They were to die for. I 100% recommend this cute little quaint place. We will be back for sure!

Relaxed, cozy spot in downtown Anchorage to enjoy an espresso drink and soup, a sandwich, or maybe a pastry. They do a great job with their K-Bay roasted coffee and it often includes latte art, which is a nice touch. Sports gear is available for check out near the counter for those who are heading upstairs to The Rooftop. They have a changing installation of local art, photography, and things of that nature. Unfortunately, it's often chilly here in winter due to the position of their doors. Seating isn't comfy or cooshy, just hard chairs and benches. This isn't a problem, but is definitely worth knowing if you were thinking about coming to settle in for a bit with a laptop or whatever.

Bad service and boring sandwiches We came in at 3:30, figuring we could be out of their hair before they close at 4. They made sure to tell us more than once that they close at four and even said they would be mopping up while we ate (from a very fragrant mop bucket adjacent to the dining room). I don’t know if the 3 people who came in after our group were likewise told they could stay until they closed but then had to go. The sandwiches were small and the caprese (pictured) was utterly disappointing for a 13-14 dollar sandwich. No actual basil, and only one small slice of cheese and small bit of tomato per half of sandwich

My younger daughter (18months) has a peanut allergy, and the employees handled the situation appallingly.

We asked about allergens prior to ordering and were told it was fine. We noticed that they weren't changing gloves between orders, so I asked about handling our daughter's food.

The woman behind the counter said that they won't change gloves, they don't have to, they're not allergy-friendly, and walked away.

When our food was done I said that I wasn't pleased about the differing information, that we had now paid for food she couldn't eat, and that not being upfront about it when we asked before we ordered could harm my daughter.

This woman had the audacity to argue with me about her allergy, saying something about if my older one could kiss my younger one after eating peanuts then it would be fine, said they could only refund the whole order or nothing at all, and then finally gave a half-hearted and far too late sorry when I said for the third time that I'm just asking them to be up front about allergens because it can be serious.

Food was fine but not at all worth the dishonesty and potential to cause...

Ordered the midnight sun salad - Utterly disappointing. Description said it had bleu cheese, but the salad came without it. When I called the person on the phone did not seem to care and informed me they did not forget the cheese, they simply do not serve bleu cheese on anything. Said they would inform the manager to change the description...Weird, but ok. The grapes on the salad were so soft, somewhat smashed, and soggy it seemed like they had been sliced and all sitting for a long period of time - when I mentioned that he told me that next time I need to ask for them not to cut the grapes because "that's what happens when grapes get sliced".. When I asked for a refund the person on the phone scoffed a bit and said I would need to come back to the cafe to get the refund even though I paid with cashapp for an online pickup order. My partner had turkey sandwich and it was fine, the bread seemed to be the best part, but the tomato was really soggy. Overall I'd say this place lacks in freshness, and my guess is that everything is prepped too...

Service is sooooo slow! I really wanted to like this place but I ended up missing my tour by literally ONE minute on 08/15 because they took so long to make the food. The girls who were making the coffees and juices were fast. The girl with the dyed hair taking the orders was super friendly. But after about 25 minutes waiting i had to cancel the food order and they kindly refunded the $10 to my card and the girl with glasses offered for me to take a muffin for free as a gesture which I refused as my hands were full and I had to run to the train station lol. Again, really wanted to like this place but I was disappointed that there was no sense of urgency in getting the orders out. I almost wasted a whole day in anchorage because of this as all the other tours for the day were fully booked until I got lucky and found one that had space. Im sure the foods great but if you’re a tourist in Alaska and trying to grab a quick bite before a tour then this place probably isn’t for you. If you have time to kill then by all means Im...
