FishEx Seafoods — Attraction in Alaska

Horrible service! Website extremely misleading. Ordered ( or thought I was ordering) 5 lbs of fresh, specifically never frozen king crab ( @$69 or $79 per lb. FishEx had a specific time window for the never frozen crab , ending on Nov 2, 2020. I wanted this for my wife's 60th birthday . Having lived in Juneau AK for a number of years, we always had fresh King Crab available, never would touch frozen, even FRESH frozen, it's still frozen. Once frozen, meat is rubbery, watery, and tasteless, ick! On Nov 4 , I received the styrofoam package from FishEx, as promised. Opened and found 5 lbs of frozen crab! It took 2.5 days to thaw in refrigerator the King Crab was predictably, rubbery, and complete tasteless. Not the tender, flakey, and sweet meat that is the trademark of never frozen King Crab. So dissatisfied and disappointed. Sent email to Customer Service regarding the order and received the most rude reply stating I received what 'I had ordered'! Period! I replied back and asked then why was there a specific time frame stated on the website for the fresh? She sent another curt email saying that was for the ' fresh frozen'. End of subject. No attempt to try and correct the rectify the problem, unlike most other quality reputable vendors out there! Stay away from this 'fishmonger'!!! If you want King Crab ( frozen) , go to your local Costco, $11/ a lb not $59-and up like FishEx. Consider yourself warned! Absolutely horrible experience with this...

Sales still going on this week ! Great prices. I ordered Wed. 12-28-22 in the morning and got my order from FedEx at 2:30 in the afternoon today, Thursday. Next day air is impressive. From Alaska all the way down to me in Arkansas. Everything was still frozen with the dry ice as it should be. The order was perfect ! I had Dungeness crab for dinner tonight and it was delicious ! Someone else mentioned saltiness ? I always just boil my crabs and there is no saltiness. If people complain about shipping, I recommend ordering earlier in the week, and beware of ordering too close to holidays and weekends. I had no problem getting my order overnight. FedEx shipping is awesome, but you have to be realistic too and consider what day you are ordering. FishEx gets an A+++ from me ! Thank you FishEx !
