Do not make reservations over the phone they use a 3rd party service to make reservations for customers and unfortunately you have to verbally give your credit card information over the phone to this 3rd party service who hires waste dog scammers who are not even screened or checked and working from home regardless of Covid.
The reservations specialist stole my credit card information my address and my telephone number and I am currently The victim of credit card Theft.
Days after giving The reservation specialist my credit card information I have encountered on authorized Purchases On my credit card.
I was fortunate enough to get information from the merchant like the purchasers IP address and shipping address which I’m assuming is their home address.
I have forward this information to my local police department and submitted a police report.
I have had to cancel my credit card and request a new one,I also had to dispute the transactions and start an investigation. It’s been a real headache.
I spoke with the district manager at the Sonesta ES location off of Manchester in Anaheim today And he said he was going to forward the information to corporate but in all honesty I feel like he should have offered some type of compensation Or at least a future discount or a free state some type of Kind a courtesy as a gesture to show Remorse for what I had undergone due to making reservations with a hole in the wall company that their company hired. He also went on to say that he wasn’t sure how long this was going to take that it could take months meanwhile take into consideration he had just been given vital information that there is a representative working for his company who is stealing the information of customers And committing fraud.
Besides all that the room was great, My best advice to anyone is to make the reservations online and put in their credit card information manually do not give your credit card Information verbally to anyone times have changed people are desperate.
The rooms are a complete turn very clean very comfortable the breakfast is usually a hit only due to Covid breakfast is not the same menu however they still are serving hot breakfast most places are not serving hot breakfast. Free Wi-Fi to send the parking is half the price of anywhere else Within a 5 mile radius of this...
Read moreThe comp breakfast was good. Eggs, bacon/sausage, and pancakes that are made by waving your hand. Kids that that was really cool. They alternate between sausage one day and bacon the next. They have breakfast tacos daily. They are make your own. The meat is very bland, but they have salsa, cheese, and veggies to spice it up. ||Nice pool, hot tub, and gas grill to use. The pool area is really nice.||The staff was really great!:||Jenny was able to help me with several things and even found a box fan for me to help me sleep!||Jodi was very helpful with her recommendations and anything that we needed. One of the dryers wasn't working, so she called their sister hotel next door to allow me to come over there to dry my clothes. She even listened to me complain about the dryer being broke, and handled it like a champ! I later found out that it was her birthday, so I felt kind of bad.||Pam always greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome every time we came or left and always got us extra towels, etc. and had some good suggestions too.||For my Midwest folks, I would compare it close to a Drury Inn - but it is dated. ||The ART bus was nice, but doesn't come too often at night. They also were not on schedule often, so we had to wait for almost an hour a couple of times from Disneyland. They do pick you up next door from the hotel, so it is convenient, especially if you have a walker or wheelchair in your group!||Just a couple recommendations for the hotel:||1. Obviously renovations, with are already planned.|2. Additional washers and dryers. When the renovations are done, maybe you can add the ones that will text users when their load is complete!|3. Possibly add a water jug like the Sonesta next door. It would be nice to walk in from the heat and be able to grab a cold glass of water, especially with lemon or something in it.|4. The only other thing that I can thing of (and it may not even be an option), but possibly add an oven down in the breakfast room. We were able to use the stovetop for a few meals, but it would be nice to have an oven for pizzas, or bigger meals.||This is definitely not a fancy hotel, but a nice, clean family friendly (and budget friendly) hotel that is close enough to the park to enjoy but just far enough away to get out of all of...
Read moreSo, I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone staying for an extended period of time. 2 days would be ok if you are using it as a Disney base!
The rooms: basic, clean enough. Beds comfy. Strange smell on the 5th floor of bacon fat or something, which seeped into the room at times. No oven. No servicing of rooms unless you pay. Walls paper thin can hear everyone in the next room. Fingers crossed you get put next to someone quiet.
The hotel is ok. Great location. Parking pricey at 28 dollars per day. Outside smelled of poo or sewage at all times. Pool is basic but kids were happy. Expensive small shop at reception. BBQs on site to use. Laundry (pay to use). Building work currently going on, woke to the sound of drills and hammering in the morning at 8am. Lifts full of workmen. I understand it needs done, but 8am is a bit early.
Breakfast: not what we were expecting. Breakfast tacos every morning which isn’t for us. Eggs and porridge inedible. There’s cereal and toast, which is what we ended up sticking to. Disappointing for a 7 night stay! Ended up eating out most days for breakfast, which is saying something for us. We really are not fussy or prone to complaints. I’ve never skipped breakfast in a hotel before in my life.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Be warned, this is a dog friendly resort!! We had one night where the room next to us had left their dog in the room and it was barking for over an hour and half. Had to complain and they came back, same again in the morning at 6am barking again. I understand the need for dog friendly hotels as a dog owner myself, but why bring a dog on holiday and leave it in the room? If you don’t like dogs, book elsewhere. Also a little concerning for the rooms, accidents happen, I’d hate to think a dog was in the room before we came tbh.
Location perfect. Down the road from Disney, 25 min drive to Knotts. We drove to Hollywood easily and Newport beach is 30 min away. Plenty of restaurants nearby and download the door dash app when you come to order takeaways to the room.
All in all, we made it work because we had no choice. Grateful just to be in California!! But I would spend a little more next time and stay somewhere a bit better. This is a 2 star...
