Budget Car Rental — Local services in Anaheim

On a family holiday in America and was very disappointed with the service that we received. We booked a mid size svu which is what we have at home and got a very small car, we went back in and asked to change and was told no we couldn’t there were no other cars. Therefore our children had to travel 5 hours with luggage on top of them. We then left a pair of $200 shoes in the car at Anaheim, rang as soon as we realised and was told the car was with someone else now and to check at lax lost and found, we didn’t know how to do this so made another trip to the anaheim hire place and they wouldn’t contact lost and found on our behalf. We then went to the airport and went around with our children for 30 mins looking for it and couldn’t find it. The shoes didn’t just disappear and no help whatsoever from the company. We realise that it was our mistake to leave them in the car but some assistance from the company would have been great, they could not have been less interested. Would never book through this...

I rented from this location a while back and I'll not ever do business with them again. A neighbor had the car towed around 4am out of spite. It was not illegally parked, they just wanted it moved so they could park where I was parked. I notified budget that morning. The car was full of gas because I was returning it that morning. 5 days later Budget is calling me saying I need to return the vehicle. I explain to them for the 50th time that I've called them several times to see if they picked up the vehicle. Keep in mind during this time they are charging me daily fees for the rental. What should have been a $90 rental turned out to cost me over $1200. I was never given a breakdown of the charges, I spent countless hours on hold and corporate management never returned...

Terrible staff at this location and the one a mile and a half away on Harbor. Will NEVER use this place again. I rent cars about twice a month for work and this place just lost 100% of my business.

Basically I booked a car at the location on Harbor for 8am the morning of. They didn't show up until 845 and then blamed me for not booking 24 hours in advance. My reservation was until 5pm. I showed up at 455 (within legal terms of returning the car) and the store was already closed. I then spent 30 minutes with customer service where I got transferred back to the main menu twice until the system just hung up on me. I ended up just going to this location which was 1 1/2 miles away. The had the nerve to charge me the $25 one way return fee.
